AoD Meng Li

This girl arrived for me birthday, and I just just now been able to grab a quick shot of her between rainstorms. She is an AoD Meng Li- I have never seen any other user pictures of her. I think she resembles a 60 cm Feilian. Not quite as closely as I thought, but still there is something similar about the sculpts. I'll take a shot of the two of them together once company leaves and if the rain ever stops.

I'm always on the fence about AoD dolls. I can't tell if I like them or not but I really like your Meng Li! Is she tan skin?

The problem with AoD dolls is they have the WORST default faceups in the universe! Seriously, the company photos don't do them justice because with a better faceup they can be really awesome

ps: cirque knows that I a) dislike the DZ felian doll and b) dislike pink, so she did this on purpose to annoy me hahahahaha

Greyhaunt, actualy I really dislike the felian too. Didn't know someone else did. But this girl doesn't look like her. The nose is a much better shape and the eye size is proportionately better. I do like pink hair though.

Considering the free head event I keep mulling over whether to get a body and a free head. This way it's like getting a discount. Unfortunately, I'm not so sure they are doing this offer through JS so I would have to pay high shipping fees.

I just got her through JS and there was no free head, so I guess not.
Greyhaunt- you'll have to take a closer look at this default face-up. It is one of the nicest default face-ups I've ever seen- very natural and well-done. NOTHING like the pink and purple Chinese Opera Monstrosities from when they first came out (although I got a very nice face-up on my Chen, because I requested a "natural and American look").

And yes....I was counting on Greyhaunt to be really digusted by the pink wig. Which I also like, by the way.

Can you post a closer pic of her faceup. I do like it a lot. Did you pay extra for the custom work?

Not a great picture, but it does show you the face-up. And it wasn't a custom job- this was the in-stock doll Emory had on Junky Spot. So this is just a default face-up. Very light and natural.

Wow, they must have finally hired some faceup people with skill unlike in the old days.

Although you know my Lachlan came with a great faceup as well - but she was also a custom one.
