I really think I want a 50 cm Obitsu!!

My first bjd is a Resinsoul mei, I really liked her sculpt but I have been continually disappointed with her posing ability. Now I'm sure that's something a little sueding couldn't fix (maybe) but I have been eyeing the heck out of the 50cm obitsu girls!! I have read all over forums that the 50cm is the one to get!

I was also considering a 60cm body but only because I like the height, Is there a significant difference between the two as far as posing and all around quality? I don't want to be disappointed again!

The 50 CM body is the superior in posing, because there was some significant engineering improvements between the 50 and 60 bodies. You can improve waist flexibility (and fragility) in the 60 cm by replacing the 60 cm waist piece with the 50 cm bendable waist piece. And you do know you can with relative ease put a resin head on an Obitsu body, right? Kikichan has an excellent tut on that. The Mei head would probably look good on the 50 cm body. BBB NS is a pretty good match for Obitsu WS.

Violet is WS Mei I'm also selling her so I can afford the other doll. As much as I enjoy having her around she just doesn't feel like the right girl for me.

Bwahaha, thank you. Freya tends to have a bit of a following xD Also, that male doll is an Elfdoll K sleeping head with modded eyes to look like a regular K head. Though surprising Lucas tends to garner more attention than his full Elfdoll counterpart (I bought the head from a friend)...

I've gone off the larger scale so Freya and Lucas are currently living with my friend who's *just* getting into BJDs. I figure at least that way they'll get more attention haha.

Thanks for the info! I think most male BJD's look way too feminine and usually I don't like the shape of their eyeholes, but this man is truly handsome. I think I'm a girl doll lover in general and I'd like to keep my collection of dolls in the female range, but since there's a (small) male part in the storyline I'm thinking of, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to go outside my own boundaries. (Or I'll just put a short wig on one of my girls because it's such a small part, lol.)

Lol. Yeah that boy is very handsome. I noticed that when you posted him in the thread introducing your new 50. I had no idea he was an elfdoll though. I am a fan of rainman but I can't afford his dolls.

They are so cute, and that boy really is handsome o.o I don't usually go for boy dolls either!

Does anyone have pictures of the Designer head on they're dolliehs? I think that might be the head I go for.
