Vmf50 abdomen on 50cm Obitsu w/o gaps, aka I'm at it again

So I'm again trying to do find about some sort of mishmash hybrid of vmf50 parts and Obitsu. I know that the type 2 has larger hip sockets after seeing this: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1432 tutorial, but how does type d and e work with 50cm parts? I know that they're interchangeable but does default 50cm thighs fit snugly? I'm pretty sure that type a and f would have larger hip sockets which leaves d and e...the English site did mention that type E had more volume on the hips though.
(...But if getting all the spare parts for customization costs like $50 or more, I might as well suck it up and order a full body from Yamato)

I have to agree with Zirc - if you are going to go VMF, then go for a full body (although you'll have to wait until they have one available again ;p). Take it from someone who has several (although less than K2) - they are awesome!

Yeah, it occurs to me that Obitsu 50+vmf abdomen+option parts+proxy fees+crappy exchange rate=same or more as a full one or more. But that means I'll have to stalk Y!JPA for non fullsets, or hope that JAUCE is kind and get me a basic set from the site. Although, I'm really starting to like their more recent character models.

Right now the tan type-E is available at 28000 yen - the basic price, Miho is available at 38000 - she has a different head and would be fully blushed at that price. As far as parts go, right now some are available, some are sold out - depends on the model and the part you want.

The hip sockets on the stock Obitsu 50cm and the VMF50s (all models) are essentially the same size. They are all physically compatible with one another, all using the exact same skeleton parts. It becomes a matter of aesthetics, which abdomen looks better (in your opinion) with which set of thighs. Same goes for the busts.
Yes tan. Rhiani is a VMF50 Type E in tan. The VMF tan is just a bit darker than Obitsu fleshtone so the fleshtone Haruka head works well with it.

Enabler!
I would like to get a VMF50 at some point. Did you mention an English site, 1/6andtinylover? Oh, link please!
I'm paying off the plastic card that I singed with the Limwha purchase but I'm think about adding some more vinyl to the collection.
I went back and found Grey's just out of the box pics on her tan VMF50. Fantastic! And of course Rhiani is just gorgeous. I love the body.

Yamato Toys does have an English (North American) web site, however the only VMF50 item they currently (9/6/2011) have listed is the first Original Concept Girl Miu, which is the first of their original full sets. She is the Type B body and is priced at $929.95. With the current exchange rate this price is not far off from the original price of this full set (68000yen).

Yamato Toys is f'n nuts with those prices. Even Volks only charges those kind of prices for really elaborate Dollfie Dream fullsets, like Beatrice or Saber Lily. They are NUTS.
