Size difference between the older (shorter) and newer (taller) bodies.

I bought this body a year and a half ago when Customhouse sold them for $88 plus shipping (so $138). These were the old-style bodies and they are a little shorter than the current ones. It came really fast so I figured that when I ordered my Cebee from them she would also come fast.. Ha ha ha. NINE MONTHS later my Cebee arrived with a free event head, an Iryia. Once I got the head I decided I wished I had gotten the Lubi head instead, and someone else had the Lubi head and wanted the Iryia, so we traded. The box had gotten shoved under my sewing table and so the head just got tossed in and I forgot about the whole thing.
For some reason a few days ago I decided to finally put the body together (maybe no new doll in a while, lol). The body was in 22 pieces and had to be sanded and parts of it glued together, but it did come with "instructions" and string. No hooks- instead there were a couple of pieces of string to tie the hands onto the elastic with. Happily I had some extra hooks, so I used those.
Did the face-up and popped the head on. Yesterday I ordered her a red wig, and the same day this wig came in the mail- I had completely forgotten I had ordered it. So she will have a choice of hairstyles, lol.

Anyway, here she is. She is as-yet unnamed because I want the perfect Celtic/Gaelic name for her and haven't found it yet. I will probably redo her lips in a more coral tone- just didn't have that color of pastels. I also want to add freckles but have never done it so not sure how. Not a great picture: by the time I finished her, the sun was almost gone. So hopefully more and better pictures tomorrow.

She's quite pretty, especially how her eyes gives her that soft and gentle impression

I know, hard to believe!
I know two Bronwyns in real life, so that one is out; also know too many Sierras (which is too close to Ciara). Don't know how to pronounce the other two.

On my list:
Keela (just got that from a woman who wants to get some type of Irish dog and name it that)
Rozann
Yseult

I love Gwenyth but not a huge Gwenyth Paltrow fan, and wouldn't want people thinking I had named her after the actress.

Ha! Instead of naming me Wendy, my mom should have called me Gwenyth. Then Ken and I could have been Kenneth and Gwenyth.

I love the name Siobhan. It's pronounced something like Shevaughn, the 'e' being more of an 'uh' and the emphasis being on the bhan/vaughn-part. Haha, I'm sorry, I'm not very familiar with writing names down phonetically in English ;)

(( -edit- Here you go, an interview with singer Siobhan Donaghy, her name is pronounced at 0.15:

And I looove your doll. She's absolutely stunning. My type of doll, with her big eyes. I think the wig really suits her and her faceup is very nice. I love the shape of her lips too!

What about Gwendolyn instead of just Gwenyth?
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

Well, I like Gwendolyn but then since my name is Wendy I'm afraid people will think I named her after myself. But maybe! It is a really pretty name (and not my name, by the way- I'm just a plain Wendy after Peter Pan).

I love the name Wendy though. I'm waiting for the right doll to give that name to actually! Lol! Oh and it's Gwyneth Paltrow, not Gwenyth. Not that it matters though ;). You decided you don't like the name Siobhan?
