Need Obitsu help!

Postby dogs0813 » Mon Nov 28, 2011 8:31 pm

I think instead of a DD I want an Obitsu( I blame MADh Vinyl). I think I want either the Gretel or Haruka head but I'm unsure about the body. I'm either thinking a 47cm with a large bust or a 60cm with a large bust or possibly a 50cm with a large bust. Any thoughts? Thanks!

50cm, large bust, Haruka head. If you like MV then that is the doll you want! And in case you are wondering, I started out with 2 60cm obitsu and I only have one left - all the others are either 50cm or 40cm. Poseability of the 50,40cm is simply out of this world awesome! I did just get the 48cm body, but haven't done anything with it yet - however it is basically a shorter 50cm so I anticipate loving it. Now, I'm not sure if you really mean the 47 cm body, or the 48cm because they are VERY different! The 47cm body has more child-like proportions, like the ones you see on a lot of the Volks MSDs - this puts them out of proportion with the others of the line.

Boob size is a matter of choice - I recommend consulting K2 about what boob parts look best on which body types before buying LOL - he did a comparison ages ago, but he'll probably repost it for ya :)

I warn you though - obitsu 50cms are like the most highly addictive dolls in existance!

Thanks! To answer your question, I was talking about the 47cm, Like the one Anna Marie from MADh Vinyl used to have. For me they're are a few problems with the 50cm. The most important issue for me is that the abdomen is a little too bony for my taste, does it look better with the large bust? Another thing is that Junky Spot doesn't have a 50cm large bust piece in stock, will the 60cm large bust work? What does the Haruka head look like on a 60cm large bust body? Pics would be greatly appreciated

Depends on your taste, but the 50cm torso might look out of place with the L bust...I know there's a post somehwere with a tutorial on modding the 60cm torso to fit the 50cm frame. You can also use the DD torso (don't think there's any modding required). But there will be gapping around the thighs. And it looks like the 60cm bust has a wider shoulder.

You definitely need to consult K2 LOL. The fact that Anna Marie is no longer on a 47cm body should tell you a lot about it's desireability. Now you can always frankenstein a doll - you wouldn't be the first LOL.

60cm boobs will definitely NOT work on a 50cm. K2 buys his ginormous tatas from Yahoo Japan auctions - I think some of them are privately made to go on those or DD bodies.

My Josephine - sorry, I have no nekkid pics of her - has a 50cm body with the bigger 50cm boobs. They won't poke your eyes out and they aren't going to make her fall over, but they are nice for her hahahahaha.

Of course you can always go Yamato VMF 50cm.....I now have...3 of them (had to stop and count hahaha) and they are even more addictive than standard 50s. Of course they cost a lot more too - but even with the shitty exchange rate and using a proxy buyer they are still cheaper than the high end DDs :) But definitely consult with K2 - he is the 50cm master!

Anna Marie's body has had a number of changes over the years as she was modeled after an existing character, not developed after the doll. At the time or her origin, there were very few Obitsu body parts/choices available. So as more parts/bodies options have become available she has changed to get closer to the character as originally conceived. She's still a bit too tall and the 40cm body is too short. I'm still considering going to the the 48cm.

For me they're are a few problems with the 50cm. The most important issue for me is that the abdomen is a little too bony for my taste, does it look better with the large bust?

You might try stalking Yahoo Japan Auctions to see if a VMF50 torso comes up for sale. A Type D or Type E (white skin) would soften some of that boniness. You might find the Type B too muscular.

Another thing is that Junky Spot doesn't have a 50cm large bust piece in stock, will the 60cm large bust work?

As mentioned by Greyhaunt, the 60cm large bust will not work on the 50cm body. In the world of Obitsu Frankendolliehing there are basically two "body diameters" and bodies within each of the two classes are relatively compatible parts wise. There is the larger 47/55/60cm class and the smaller 40/48/50cm class. For easier Frankendolliehing stay withing one of these two body parts classes.

What does the Haruka head look like on a 60cm large bust body? Pics would be greatly appreciated

Unfortunately I haven't had a "stock" 60cm body for quite some time. The closest I've got right now is Britt from MADh Vinyl episode 199. She is one of MADh Vinyl's "extras" and is currently a Haruka head on a 50cm body with the Obitsu large bust and the VMF50 Type B abdomen.

I'm such a doofus - Sherris originally had a 60cm obitsu body - not the large bust, but at least the right body size (she is a haruka head). Here are some shots of her - she's got the 3 part 60cm body in all of these shoots - later I switched her to the 2 part which I recommend as the better option.

I've changed my mind about the 50cm abdomen, it's not that bony and I like it. I am still tempted by the others though so, I think I will do a 60cm girl with the large bust and a Gretel head. Which 60cm body is better?

In the realm of 60cm bodies. the 60BD-F04W-G, ball-joint model has the most aesthetically pleasing joints and still out poses most resins. But for absolute maximum posability look into the 60BD-F02W-G soft (two part) body A.
