Box Opening - Angelsdoll Kloze (Volks White)

OMIGAWD He got here in 2 days. TWO DAYS! The shipping was supposed to be 3-5 days, and I wasn't even holding my breath for that, because someone just got their doll delivered and it took 9 days. I couldn't open him right away, because I had to bring my fiance to work, and then right from there, go pick up my friends for a day trip to the flea market. So I brought him with me, and did the box opening at my friend's house! I'm only slightly disappointed he got here so early, because my friend has a ResinSoul Long incoming on Wednesday, and I wanted them to have the same birthday. But who can complain about their doll coming in early?!
The mailman knocked on the door at 9:45 in the morning, while my fiance and I were still asleep. I come stumbling down the steps, sign for the box and close the door. I stand there blinking and staring and trying to focus my eyes enough to read the label, because I wasn't expecting him until the 31st at the earliest, possibly not for another week or more, at worst. After a moment or two, my brain kicks in enough to make out the return address, and realize that the gibberish I'm looking at, is in fact, English, and the word 'doll' is written on the customs form, and the sender is "Angelsdoll"... at which point, the butterflies in my tummy woke up too, and started doing loops. I come into the dining area, set the box on the table, started jumping, clapped my hands, turned around to start up the stairs, hesitated, and then grabbed the box and brought it upstairs with me, where my fiance is groggily going about scratching and yawning and stretching, and staring at me in much the same way I must've been staring at the poor mailman. I said "Guess who's here." He rasps "Who?" "The big doll!! Eeeee!" He groans, I do another fangirl dance. Drop him off at work, come home and make food and coffee, call one friend, squeal again, and pile him, and some other doll items into the car. Pick up two of the three friends on the way, and finally get to the third friend's house. We cram into her room to do the box opening. There's a video too, but I need to edit out a curse or two before posting it. I have a bit of a potty mouth >.>
This is the drawing I made of him. Kloze was the absolute perfect sculpt for him!
I kinda like the brown paper wrapped box. But I'm weird.
Angelsdoll logo!
White pillow!
Er... pillows? And the mummy!! Holy cow, he's taller than his box! His head isn't even attached. o_o
Lookit dem muscles. Wow that is a gorgeous boy.
This is some lovely sculpture right here.
Whoops, cover the goodies. Modesty is a virtue yanno. But those hands.... the haaaaands. The hands on a doll can make or break a sculpt for me. His make me think of a piano player (I am childish...I cannot bring myself to say pianist) or violinist, which is perfect, because Shydran is high-society vampire nobility, and has been classically trained.
And with the head on! The resin around the eyes is a little thin, but I think I'm going to widen them ever so slightly anyway. He's got a bit of squinty-ness going on. But sooooo pretty. I can't stop saying wow.
Borrowing a short wig that belongs to my friend's doll. It's not really his style though.
Bangs are too short, still, and the rest is too long, though you can't tell from the picture.
Borrowing boots. He looks like a male stripper. Oh dear he's going to murder me for this. Stitched together the shorts from the sleeve of a shirt, to spare his dignity. I don't think it's helping.
Once I finish a current project, I'll get his face-up done, and start working on some pants. x.x When standing, he comes up to the middle of my thigh. I'm short, at 5'3", but dang!
Thanks for looking!
