aw, it must have fallen out. Maybe they'll send you one?

I never take dolls apart to spray them. I just hang them up by the s-hook in the neck and go at it. But then I'm no professional soo.... no idea what ppl do.

I'm surprised she's strung properly, maybe BBB (after so much complaint) is changing their elastic and stringing practices.

The bubble on her knee looks like a marking dot. My RS/BBB dolls have them (though they're on the side of the joint) so you can tell which one was right/left/up/down if you take them apart to clean or restring.

Congrats on getting your Ai! I love her sculpt, I can't wait to see what you do with her.

Yup, that's just a marking dot on her knee. My Ai has them too. There should be a matching one inside the cup of the joint, and on the other parts along her leg and arm. As Linteia said, it's so you know the left part from the right part when the doll is unstrung. Trust me when I say that a left calf looks awfully similar to a right calf when the doll's in pieces.

I rarely unstring a doll to MSC and body blush, either, but if you do want to unstring, just take her head off by opening the head cap, and twisting the S-hook, (put the head where it won't get knocked over!) and then remove the S-hook entirely, easing the elastic back into the body until she goes slack....or yanno, just letting it snap back into the body like a rubber band. That works too... XD Then, pull the hoof/foot until you can get the S-hook out, on each side, and pull the elastic free. To remove the arms (which are strung separately), do the same thing you did with the feet. :)

If she is crazy-tight, then you can simply remove her head cap, pull up on the strings, it is helpful to clamp them with hemostats if you have them, then untie them, let them slacken up a bit, and then retie them. Of course it only works if there is enough string.
Restinging is kind of a pain in the behind but it isn't hard. Hemostats are hugely helpful, and needlenose pliers, and some ribbon or regular string (to loop around the elastic and pull it through tight places). There are a number of tutorials around- even on youtube.
It isn't hard, it's just really scary the first time, but after that it's no big deal.

As far as the logo goes- who did you order her from? Contact them and tell them and they should send you one if you want one. They often fall out- not just RS dolls, but all of them.

Congratulations! I really like the look of Ao, though I've been torn between her and Yao.

The S-hook comes out of the elastic, and then you take the elastic out. :) If you have a pair of hemostats, you can pull her whole head up, and clamp the elastic, to make removing the S-hook easier.

I highly recommend investing in at least one pair of hemostats - I have three or four and I can't even imagine restringing or doing stringing work without them anymore! The S hook will not fall into the body - but the elastic might and it can be a royal pain in the butt to pull it back up through the neck. I recommend if you can't get a hemostat go to your local Joann or Michaels (or similar craft shop) and buy some floral wire that is not too thick and not too thin (sorry, can't really tell you the gauge as I tend to wing it). Bending the wire in half will give you a nice long loop to use to pull the elastic back up through the neck if you happen to let it slide down. Yes, I have done this more than once - I am the queen of "oh crap, there went the damn elastic" This is why I own so many hemostats now! Oh, and you can get them cheap off Ebay - my local hobby shop sells them for a ridiculous price ;p
