I shall call him Foofer - please critique

Postby happyknot » Mon Jul 09, 2012 11:12 pm

I just finished making this wig for my Angelsdoll Shakan. It's made out of faux mohair + long pile white faux fur + wool/acrylic "dreads" (they didn't turn out like I expected)

Even though the weave lays flat against his scalp the pile is SO thick that the hair is SUPER FLUFFY OMG! I don't know if it suits him or not guys. Should I try to trim it down a bit or leave it as is?

Sorry for cell phone pics (and stuffed underpants).

I am also considering making big freakn' horns like Ibex ones. Too much? Something else? Suggestions?

p.s His name isn't really "Foofer" but he doesn't have one yet so Foofer it is!

Looks good to me, I like it all wild-looking.

And I like his little pony, too.

Do you have a photo from the back? It does look pretty great from the front though!

I agree. Those dreads are pretty cool. And the fluffy works well with them. :)

That wig is awesome! I think the fluffiness of it will work really well with big ibex horns.

Wow, I like it, and I don't usually care for fur wigs.

I think horns would be fantastic with it.

Took one just for you!

I made a weft out of single dreads. I think I should make more and layer than higher in to the wig.

Thank you all for your in-put (and unexpected compliments!). I guess super fluffy is sort of part of the course when it comes to faux fur wigs. I really do think sticking horns or something in there might balance it out.

edit: About the pony - I was kind of amused/freaked out that it was flesh color and matched Foofer perfectly so I HAD to stick it in the picture lol! FLESH PONY!
