A new victim for elite dollieh hacking...or a new doll?

If you've got a Den of Angels account, here's the unsuspecting victim who will soon be part of two projects.

http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?379430-Obitsu-Gretel-60-cm-150

This is a 60cm "Ball Joint" model with a Parabox factory faceup that has just the right amount of attitude for a character who has needed to be embodied for a while...my 1/2 elvish Jedi, Thareen Penumbra. I know that sounds weird but she has her origins in a paper-and-pencil space role playing game, from back before there was an official Star Wars RPG. I've cosplayed this character with the Rebel Legion but I've never been happy with the way I look as that character.

However, that head on a 50cm Obitsu body will be just about right. Yeah, she'll be a wee bit bigheaded but certainly not in Dollfie Dream territory and definitely not in Mini Dollfie Dream territory. She will get elf ears of course...but perhaps altered a little bit to make them a little less outsized. She is only 1/2 elf.

So that's what I will be doing with the head...what about that body?

Well, that body...is getting a gender reassignment. I will basically do the same mods on the body that were done on Z: boy chest, 55cm boy abdomen. I will be using a different head...this one:

This head looks like it could be faced up as an Anglo male. And by Anglo I really mean Anglo. Here's a quick backstory sketch:

Gareth Moore is the son of Nigel Moore, a member of a minor British Heavy Metal band whose heyday was the mid-1970s. Nigel Moore married Goldie Pinsky, a woman he had been seeing off and on for years. Before Goldie and Nigel got serious, Goldie was a "lady of the road" if you know what I mean. It was long after the end of Nigel's 15 minutes of fame, Nigel needed to be able to stay in America, and the both of them could hear their biological clocks ticking.

Gareth was born three years after Nigel and Goldie's first son Clive, in the Orwellian year of 1984. The Moore family settled in the southern LA beach community of Redondo Beach. Nigel became a night club impresario, running The Cellar Club in West Los Angeles. He parlayed that into two other clubs, Iron Palms on the Sunset Strip and Radio Ranch in the San Fernando Valley. Then he parlayed the three clubs into a real estate empire that made him far more money than the band ever did. By the time Clive was in college after graduating early, and Gareth was in his last year of high school, Nigel was wealthy. And Gareth and his best friend Nobuo Yamamoto, who would later rename himself first Zetto, then Z, were trying to ignore this state of affairs and just make music.

Gareth is 26 now, back living at one of the many Westside apartment buildings his dad owns, and trying to get his hands on the rudder and get some direction back in his life. He envies Z his new relationship, but he doesn't envy Z the rollercoaster his life has become.

Update: this might not be Gareth. I might keep her intact. More below.

You are right, she is quite pretty. Has she told you her name yet?

I think that Pumibel calls her Motoko, as in Motoko Kusanagi. I am not sure whether I'm keeping that name.

Ms. Geek, you are relatively new to this, so maybe you haven't learned yet. You can't tell a doll who it will be. He or she tells you. I've given up on trying to figure out who my dolls are until they actually arrive. I may have a general idea, but usually they insist on being someone else. If you don't let them be who they want to be, they get all cranky and uncooperative.

I agree with Mommieh... best example of this is Omi, he was supposed to be sweet, gentle and loving. How I ever ended up with, well, HIM is beyond me. *sigh* Then when Erik was supposed to be an upgrade for Seiki.... I've stopped trying to assign personalities, since they never listen to me anyway.

Yeah...y'all are so right. Z was going to get tats and piercings...until I picked up from him he HATES NEEDLES. Yumiko's back story led me to delve into the history of Japanese migration to South America, Peru in particular. Namiko's personality is still forming, but she's still a little wannabe surfer chick who won't wear a dress and observes the world snarkily. I guess the fact I got her new has meant she got the most molding by me.

This new one...yeah, I won't know her until I hang with her in person. But one thing I do know: she's NOT Major Motoko Kusanagi. She isn't as hard and cold as her character. And I know that chances are she will remain intact and not be hack-fodder.
