I wish you had stuck a 60 cm girl in that picture. I'll take measurements tomorrow of the guy, but I don't have any unmodded 60 cm girls to compare him with. Mine both have had both torso shortened and 55 cm legs.

Should I ship Mamoru out to anyone? He's an unshortened 60cm with the 55cm torso slapped on. ^.~

I'm thinking that Kaji is pretty close to a 60cm? And what about Cora?

Okay, is it just me or is that 65cm boy about a cm shorter than the 65cm girl?

It looks like it - if she is taller I approve of Obitsu (possibly accidentally) bucking that trend!

Cora is part 60cm, part DD2 hybrid (legs) so she isn't an accurate representation of an Obitsu 60cm. Kaji is a Seedring (by Obitsu), which is essentially a 55cm. He has the Parabox macho chest, which I think bumped his height up a little. That combined with the shoes increases his height to a respectable 59cm. Yes, the 65cm Male is shorter than the 65cm Female. He is 62+cm and she is closer to 64+cm (if I remember correctly). Her additional height is mainly in the lower legs and the rest is in the torso.
I did not do a complete disassembly inspection on the 65cm Male while I had him. Many of the parts appear to be similar to those of the 65cm Female, with some minor alterations. Unfortunately it appears the arm joint issues that appeared on the 65cm Female have not been entirely resolved in this 65cm version, which could explain the limited release. The problem seems to be that the area where the "ball" section of a joint assembly attaches to the "tube" section of the assembly aren't able to handle the additional stress generated by moving the elongated limbs and they can snap during normal handling. This could be due to friction added to the ball sections to cope with the additional weight of the larger limbs. The arm joints on the male were extremely tight and I actually sanded down the shoulder pegs several ten thousands of an inch to increase the freedom of movement. Yes that is ten-thousands (.000X"), the tolerances are that close. With that in mind it is somewhat understandable that problems like this arise.
Whether a solution is on the horizon, I can't say. Obitsu could be looking into a part redesign, a different joint material, or discontinuing 65cm production all together.
I hope a solution can be found. The 65cm Male is a very nice (and needed) addition to the Obitsu line of 1/3 scale dolls. We'll just have to wait and see.
