This Big Girl Soon Be Mine...

I totally fell for this girl the moment I saw her on DOA. She has the most amazing eyes. Totally lovely faceup, IMHO. I just now put her on lay-a-way with her current owner. She'll be a head in a box for a while because after I pay her head off I'll have to save up for another bigger Miro body but I could not resist her. She's a Granado head apparently. I need to go look that doll company up. If this is an example of their sculpts I think I will like them a lot and I want to find out which sculpt she actually is what their name is for her. This is her original sculpt I think...

Looks like you've slipped down the slippery slope. Just a couple weeks ago, you were insisting that you would only get two resins. :D

Yeah, I know, but being on DOA is like being a candy addict and living next door to Willy Wonka. I can't help myself, lol. Hey, at least I am buying a used head and a Miro body, right? It could be a lot worse. I could be putting a certain huge and pretty Iple boy on lay-a-way and killing my food budget for a year or more. :P Actually I just decided I wanted at least one NS boy/girl pair at 1/3. I'll probably get a boy to go with her at some point, not an Iple as much as I want Luo, my budget cannot afford that, and I still badly want a green RS Dai, but that will probably be it and all that won't happen overnight.

I was actually planning on just getting a NS Dai head and putting that on a Miro body, then waiting to get a green one later, but then I saw this girl and I decided that I'd like her instead. She really reminds me of one of my best pals when I was growing up. They had to move away when I was like 16 and we lost touch after a long while, but I still miss her sometimes. She was a really good friend, one a very few that was true blue, for many years growing up. I honestly can't locate her. I've tried many times but seeing this girl on the shelf that looks a lot like, that will make me smile. That's me btw, being awfully sentimental, something I rarely am. But yeah, she was meant to come and live with me I think. :P

She is pretty. Very nice faceup, and it's cool she reminds you of someone you know. I've seen several Granado dolls in person and they're amazing dolls. One was a pirate fullset and he was awesome. I think you'll like her very much.

And slope? What slope? When I started this hobby, I pretty much fell headlong right off a cliff, IMO. I've given up trying to scrabble back to the surface again. And now I'm buried knee-deep in resins!

Yes! Granado is a phenomenal brand. Truly the BEST doll I own, hands down. I say this mostly in reference to the joint design and overall stability of the body. My Granado is their very first one, the 64cm Boyd. If you see Gabe in my photostories that's my Granado boy.
