1) Box Opening: Dollshe Saint

2) Belated Box Opening: Dollshe Heads


Boxes!


Weirdly the Certs of Authenticity that came with the heads are black rather than white, I think the little circular thingies are supposed to be used instead of s-hooks?




LoveLoveLove Van! Adore his sculpt but no idea who he is yet!

...I'd completey forgotten that I'd ordered an SA Saint... I had to doublecheck the order




This SA Saint looks far more grumpy than sleepy, which is quite different to his SA Facelplate counterpart. I'm quite glad the sculpts are slightly different actually, it'll help to make them look like two characters who look uncannily similar rather than identical!

3) Extremely Belated Box Opening: Soom Sabik


GIANT BOX!! (Poor Nick I suspect he's finding this whole series of photos a bit humiliating!) This shipping box did not survive UK customs... They've ripped out all of the staples holding it together, though luckily the doll box remained intact!


Soom Logo! (Apparently the post office gave a very weird look when he was delivering the box... I can only imagine what sort of doll he thought was being delivered...)




Loads of paperwork! And jointed hands kit! (The pig-english on the "instructions" is hilarious)

MA Sabik size comparison to SG Sabik ...Look how pink he is! Eek!



Yeah you can see how SuperGem Sabik really really doesn't match the body he was intended for... (Neither does Nick really but eh the body has entirely the wrong attitude for Jerome)

4) Spam Updates!

Elrana has been a little unloved these past few months, purely down to the difficulty in finding clothes that will fit her! I've finally managed to find things that both match my idea for her style, and actually fit. It's supposed to be a pseudo-gypsy look with the black leotard thing being a disguised cat suit for easy cat burgling! She still needs suitable combat boots and maybe wrist guards... But the corset & skirt are perfect for her "I'm a harmless woman, no really!" outfit




Nyta has a slightly updated face-up (...which may be wiped soonish) but still no cyberpunk stuff to wear - hence she's borrowing Elrana's dress, which actually fits Nyta better than Elrana (which Elrana is understandably cross about...)




His Lordship is mostly put together, I just need a suitable outer robe for him, his cane, some daggers, and to restyle his rather bouffant wig...

Currently looks a bit like Elvis!

...Garan, having gone through the entire wardrobe offered to him for a "night-out" with Drax and Jerome, settled on the item that seemed the most similar to his own clothes... Some metallic man-leggings; after Drax's comments about "sex on legs" and various people groping his "delicious arse" in the club he's feeling understandably nervous...

Poor Nick... Since his body was supposed to be for SG Sabik he has no clothes of his own, so he's borrowing one of His Lordship's spare jumpers...

Height comparisons! Very pleased with just how much shorter Nick Rush is compared to all of the other male dolls, and even the female ones... And with the way Jareth (MA Sabik) is simply built to a bigger scale than everyone else, with slightly odd proportions - v. sidhe methinks...

Still waiting for Drax's body to arrive (and Freddy-2) but I think this will have been a truly exceptional year for dollieh stuff, since real life is going to take over again!

Nice! I really love Nick's look as an accidental hipster.

What wig is Nick wearing- if you don't mind me asking? And yes - I like the accidental hipster look too!

Sabik~~~~~~~~~<3 MA Sabik is really lanky. Kinda feel glad that he remained an untouchable Grail (its all in the faceup) until Dexter ambushed him (And SG Sabik unfortunately, but no regrets)


His lordship requires a hairdresser indeed. I kinda like him sans wig, more threatening in a way

I love Sabik! Just not quite as much as I thought I would... Hrrmm... He's got the perfect looks, but as everyone says the MA body is seriously flawed! The way he's standing - all slouched over is due to how shallow (or possibly even warped) his upper hip/torso joint is - it just doesn't fit in it's "socket" properly

Yeah... That wig is styled very strangley! But the way it's had the wefts sewn in will lend itself well to his actual haircut

Way cool! Huge congrats! (I seem to find myself falling more and more in love with the Saint sculpt ... I didn't like him much at first, but lately he's really starting to grow on me. I hope I won't regret having ordered a Bernard ^^°) Can't wait to see your gorgeous boys all styled up!

Thanks!! I can't wait to face-up these guys (though clothes etc. may take a while...) - I'm in the same boat with Bernard; but since Dollshe has, predictably, decided to un-discontinue his sculpts afterall I think I'll wait a while. I really think he'd look lovely in tan or ebony... I think his rather round face would suit a darker skin tone just as much as all of the lovely pale Bernards you see around the place!

He's got an incredibly long (and tangly...) wig, it may get a few braids but I'm kinda liking the hair-down look:

And in a hair role-reversal, the quiet/shy Jerome has the typical 80s Bowie/Tina Turner fright wig (eh the Earth he lives in is a cyberpunk dystopia, he blends right in with this) ...Drax rather typically is a bit upset that his partner is still just a head:



Saints:
Scruffy Saint (Druggy; Vasily), no idea why my camera is making his eyebrows look so orange... For a cheap point and click this camera is normally quite good at colours Yep... He's supposed to look a bit seedy




He was going to get a tangly-mohair wig... But then I saw the dreads, and immediately thought of Nosty from the film Safe (but less ...violent)



WIP Saints, any suggestions here? I'm not quite happy with either of them but I'm really not sure what would finish them. I was aiming for the stereotypical eyeliner Rockstar look with the OA Saint, and just plain asleep with the SA Saint :/ When the rain stops I'll get started on these two again:








Nick's new wigs... The colour is perfect, in poor lighting it looks almost black, but shows up as a lightish brown in daylight. I could imagine Rush's hair getting really really long in the show too... Though the ponytail wig may get trimmed down. (This character doll is going to end up with so much stuff I can tell... He needs at least 3 versions of his default costume/outfit, (1) Clean 2) Dirty/Bloodstained (his own blood... ) 3) Super-tight-they-thought-we-couldn't-tell-it-was-a-different-tshirt!) and various other things like his suede jacket, and a military camo set, his Earth clothes, an alien wet-suit, a pipe for hitting things, a kino, maths corridor... A console for hugging...)

Gods - for once he doesn't look cross! Defintiely his wig methinks...

Nick with hair so oily it's gained a life of it's own!


And Drax photospam! Gods it's been ages since he's been the centre of attention! And worse the lighting is terrible! ...And yep since Drax is now fat *ahem* bulkier his waistcoat no longer buttons-up... His hands! Love them! They've got longish pointy nails - which are exactly what I was after! I thought I was going to have to buy a set like that from another company! They'll end up with either black nails or dark grey eventually




Poor blank dolls... Still not sure what these two will be saddled with! ...But I am leaning towards having a doll that is a permanent hipster as opposed to an accidental one... And Nick did reject the (surprisingly) orangey-brown wig he was in earlier...

Whooo,that's a lot of progress at your place! Love the Sabiks, the Elf really looks the part And those Saints ... I think you pretty much nailed the Rockstar look. Have you checked how he looks in a wig? (Regarding wigs, I love the dreads for Vasily!)
