Volks Dollfie Dream head on Mirodoll / other resin body?

I just bought a dollfie dream head, but I completely forgot that the head is made to be screwed into the body rather than being used with an s-hook. I can't afford a dollfie dream body, so I want to use a cheaper resin body such as mirodoll or resinsoul. Has anybody made a hybrid with a dollfie dream head and some sort of resin ball jointed body? Can I attach it like a regular resin head, or will I have to buy an extra part / mod it?
Thanks!

Edit: Substitutes for the washer in the head?

is it hard resin or soft vinyl? if it's hard resin, you can probably pull the elastics one at a time into the head, then s-hook them. but if it's soft vinyl, Twinage has a thread going about that same issue. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9246

I'm not really sure to be honest, I'm pretty sure it's soft vinyl though because I think most DD heads are.
Haha I'm not too picky about the colour match as I am with actually just finding a decent body for her.
I'm just afraid that the head won't fit on the body physically. :(

Most of my 1/3 anime bjd are DD heads on resin bodies. ^^

It works fine---I even use the DD heads on the ResinSoul male 70cm bodies! (That's a little tricky to do but possible!)

For the DD head, you need to 'carve' out most of the neck hole so that it will fit onto the resin neck. It's easier than it sounds--just be really careful when using the hobby knife. ^^

Then, just get a washer to use like a normal resin head. Works fine, even with the custom hair head DD heads that are super soft vinyl/rubber. You probably have one of the eyehole heads, right? Those are pretty sturdy and 'harder' than the CHH ones, so you should be fine with the washer definitely. ^^

The washer should be a regular steel flat washer, something like a 3/8" flat washer. The 3/8" refers to the diameter of the bolt and nut that goes with the washer (you won't need the bolt or nut).

Ah, that sounds easy enough; thanks so much! Just checking: I pull the elastic through the head hole and washer, then attach it to an s-hook?
And do you think there is possibly a way I can do this without permanently modding the head? Just a little reluctant since I might end up getting a volks body later on.

You might be able to do it without carving out the inner neckhole but the head wouldn't really fit on the neck properly. It will stay too high up and she'll have a long long neck. However, try it! See if it looks good for you. If not, then you can mod it. ^^

Yes. The washer takes the pressure from the S hook so it doesn't cut into the vinyl.

I haven't had much experience with DD heads but it will all be a matter of being able to get the elastics through the DD head hole, which is pretty small in diameter.

i think if you mess with the stings to all the knots are down inside the torso, and use ribbon to pull them up through the head it might work. i think the knots would be too think to go through the neckhole. but some thing (but strong) ribbon to guide the elastics might work. just do one ribbon per loop, so you can tug them through one at a time.

if your mirodoll is like mine, the arm-elastic comes up through the head as well. you can probably tighten that one so it will just sit in the body, and that will give you one less to have to deal with pulling through the head.

Okay, thank you! I'll be getting the head and body in a couple of weeks so I'll see how it goes then. :)
