Tried to pre shoot some of the welcoming Dr Elebenty home story but this was the only one that came out.

I got ambitious and spent two hours yesterday trying to restring my Dollmore Paran girl. Good grief, I think Dollmore was going for the doll/puzzlebox theme with the way they have her strung! First time trying to string an MSD, and hopefully the last for awhile. One loop of elastic is strung through BOTH of her legs, thus ensuring that I have no way to remove said legs from lower body without cutting the elastic. Plus, her S-hooks are embedded in her feet, and the hook part is almost closed so no way to get the elastic off from THAT end without bending the hooks out of shape. I had to somehow shift the elastic around to get the knots down into her lower torso, because they WERE in her head, and I couldn't switch her eyes or even take her head off before.

Somehow, I managed to get everything shifted around properly and her head back on and her eyes switched out from her default pink acrylics, which are way too small, to a pair of 16mm blue glass that fit her MUCH better.

I dunno, I've never strung an MSD before. But my Luts SDs have one loop of elastic per leg, which go up through the torso and neck, and a third loop for the arms strung across. Nice and easy. The way Dollmore has their MSDs strung completely threw me. I wasn't expecting it, nor for S-hooks to be embedded in the feet so I couldn't pull the elastic off that way. If ALL MSDs are strung that way, it'll be awhile before I try to string one again, unless I've got extra elastic on me and can restring them the way I think is normal.

I wouldn't have even bothered except I couldn't stand that all of her knots were in her head. Made switching out her eyes or taking her head off impossible with the huge jumble of excess elastic in the way.

The bald one is Jack. He had a temp wig, but my mother's AoD boy stole it (since he has a body) and his eyes are in the mail. The other one isn't named yet.
