I'm increasingly impatient for my MSD Fantasy Doll Lagina to arrive, so I went to the thrift store today and did a little sublimation.
I found three dolls at two different thrift stores. Usually I find the faces on porcelain dolls creepy. But these I liked.
The first image in this post has the link to my flickr for these dolls
One is Snow White from 2000 by Thelma somebody.

I'll have to figure out what her shoes looked like and find replacements.
The face smudges wiped off OK. Her stuffing is impressively solid.
The second is a ballerina. I like her face.
Her shoes are glued on, but that's OK. I have not tried to clean her leg off yet.
She has cotton ball boobs. I found that amusing, for some reason.
Her wig was a matted disaster in back. I peeled it off and did a little maintenance. It looks better and will be stuck back on when I'm sure it is totally dry.
The third one just had a tag "Alicia" on.
I think I like her best, as she has no other tags or stamps and I can make up my own mind about her. I even like her slightly crooked mouth.
Her clothes were stiff and felt greasy. Shudder. Her ringlets had been bunched up with an elastic. They are really long! I removed and washed that wig. I may need to wash it again, as the glue used to hold it on was water soluble and has transferred to the hair, particularly the bangs. At least I know it dissolves in water.
The clothes for all have been at least rinsed out.
I haven't spent much time with porcelain dolls before, so this has been interesting. I think I might make new clothes for Alicia.
