Just two, I took them outside to photograph a dew days ago. :)

This first little lady belong to my great grandmother and used to be able to be wound up so she could twirl and play music...

And this one was brought home from Vietnam by my grandfather, after his tour of duty there during the war. She's quite sweet looking.

She is :D Thanks. My grandmother has one too, in a blue dress. This was my great aunts (my grandfather sister) she said I could look after her. :D

Chances are you can replace the wind-up for the Bradley doll and she can twirl again. Do you know what song she used to play? Is that her original body or did you make a replacement?

It'd be her original body I think, I'm not sure my great grandmother would have ever thought to get her a new body so I presume it's the original, I'm fairly sure it used to work when I was small but I don't remember the song... the only problem is she won't wind anymore. I'll try to see if I can work out the few bars I can make her play, though.

I wonder if someone could repair it. A watch maker maybe?

...maybe. Hrm... we have a jeweler who fixes watches, he might have a bit of an idea. I'll ask nan tomorrow. It's sort of like the winding function is stuck or jammed.
