Dollieh Sanctuary

So today my mom and I went to Goodwill and I hit the doll jackpot!

First off, there were quite a few lovely porcelain dolls there, all from the late eighties and early nineties. I couldn't get them all, sadly, but I picked up a real gem: she's a 1992 House of Lloyd Brittany, with a numbered certificate of authenticity. She's gorgeous! I'll post some pictures later.

There were also LOADS AND LOADS OF BARBIES. So many Barbies--and two Liv dolls! One of them had pale skin, blue eyes, and a blonde wig with a little pink streak, and the other had tan skin, brown eyes, and a gorgeous curly brown wig. Sadly, they weren't packaged together, so I got the second Liv with a worse-for-wear Barbie (with what looks like a Bratz head with removable earrings?). This new girl is Maria, Raven's girlfriend. I don't really care that they're out of proportion, I think they're adorable. And holy crap, Liv wigs are SO SOFT. (EDIT: From my research, it looks like Maria is an Alexis doll.)

There were these huge bags of assorted Barbie props and loads of Barbies and other similar dolls. I grabbed a bag of Barbie clothing for 99 cents and there's some great stuff in there.

There will be loads of pictures later! For now, I've reverted to the age of ten and keep making Raven and Maria kiss xD

Oooh! What wonderful finds! All the thrift stores I've tried to hit up have been busts, so it's great to hear what other people can find. Pictures please?

I'm going to go get my camera and take some pics if the dog will stay out of the way.

It really is amazing what people discard thinking it's nothing special, and then we come along like "WHY WOULD YOU TOSS THIS??"

Personally, I toss them because somebody like you might just come along and give them a good home!

Great find! So glad they got a new home. I always feel kind of sorry for dolls waiting for someone to love them.
