I've had to rearrange my doll room completely to be able to reserve a corner for this setup :P

I'm really busy and tired at the moment, not teaching the easiest kids right now - and that's an understatement - so it's hard to find the energy after work to do some doll stuff. It's only my second week since the Summer holidays though, so let's hope I just need to get back into the swing of things, I hope I'll find my rhythm soon so that I'll be able to do hobby stuff in the afternoons and evenings again :)

29 years old and needing naps after work... sigh.

I just took a look at your project for the dollhouse and wow...it is looking cool. I had thought about doing rooms for my girl, but then put it on the back burner because I don't have the room to set it up. But seeing yours is inspiring me and I am reconsidering trying to work on it and see if there is a place I can set up something for my girl.

Don't feel bad about the naps. I can only imagine how stressful teaching can be. I am sure you will get back into it once you get settled.

I think generally life is more stressful these days. Thats why we need our dolliehs because its therapeutic. I would love to be able to do a space like this for my dolliehs.

Teaching the kids itself isn't stressful (administration and planning/preparing classes is, but that's a whole different topic :P). It's exhausting though. Since two weeks I'm teaching a class of four year old boys who seem to have never learned any rules at all. They think they can get away with anything. Who can blame them if no one ever taught them otherwise? But it's taking time to teach them that I won't run for them and do anything they want. I almost LOL'ed today when one of them started kissing my hand because he didn't want to eat his fruit. :P This may sound arrogant but I think I'm a good teacher even though I only graduated last year. I'm very calm yet determined and I think especially today I came across really strong. Getting them to listen to me immediately instead of after an hour and a half of sulking and not wanting to do anything, will take less time every day from now on. LOL. It's just draining my energy. But I don't feel the exhaustion until I sit down after work :P

I have a whole weekend ahead of me of NO appointments/social stuff at all and I AM SO HAPPY!!! Fingers crossed I'll have the energy to do LOTS of doll stuff this weekend :)

Gee...sounds like an American school, lol! All of the teachers I know here spend about 80% of their energy on a handful of out-of-control kids. Very frustrating.

It sounds like you have sorted out your class of boys. Be patient, consistent, and firm and all will be well.

Long time no post!

I don't remember if I told you, but I'm gonna have to take the kitchen apart again. It's not solidly built and it needs to be redone. I've learned my lesson but it's hard to get myself to take it apart and start over... so I haven't done that in the past few months. Woops.

When I picked up a "doll bed" (it's really an outside shelf for flowers lol) yesterday, I got all inspired to work on the apartment's bedroom instead. So, I've been putting wallpaper on all the walls and I hope to put the bedroom together tomorrow ^^. Expect a big update soon! While the wallpaper glue is drying, I'm working on some bedding ^^. The mattress is already done :D

What a fun idea! I want to do a few rooms in 1:3 but won't start that until after we move. I love the props you've added to the house.
