Need Help to Find a Book

Postby KitKat » Fri May 17, 2013 6:11 pm

Hey guys,

So a few weeks back I had a major flood in the house. My husband and I lost a lot of books in the flood. While we are getting a list together for the insurance company we came across one book that , for the life of us, we cannot find anywhere to buy back from. It's an old Japanese book. I was thinking, since most of you guys are internet gods and guru's, maybe you guys could find this thing for sell somewhere...anywhere!! The book is: Beast Wars Metals Super Encyclopedia, published by Kodansha in March of 2000. The ISBN is 4-06-304453-X. If anyone can find this book for sell, anywhere, I will be ever so grateful!!!

I literally looked through every major bookstore online and search engines for books, nothing. It's definitely out of print it looks like and it seems that you can't even hardly buy it used either. I found one guy listing that he had it in his collection but it's not for sale unfortunately his site says. There are a few related books on Ebay but not that particular book. I'd keep an eye on auctions. Likely it's going to be the only place you will find it.

Here you go, this should be it:

http://www.amazon.co.jp/%E6%B1%BA%E5%AE ... 406304453X

The first option for 1850 yen (about $20, give or take depending on the exchange rate of the day) is in good condition, nothing major amiss, no damage, but it has been read.

Of course, it's only second-hand, so you'll need a proxy to buy it for you. I can give you the name of my proxy---she's really efficient, quick and not that costly. Since your book is less than 5000 yen, she only charges a flat rate amount (plus paypal fees, shipping to her, then shipping to you, etc).

For me (a VIP member) it'd be about $5 flat rate, then the additional fees. For a new member....maybe double the $5, but the fees and shippings would remain the same. But that's still not bad for a hard to find book from Japan. ^^

Let me know if I can do anything for you.

:hugs:
