Rescued!

Pardon for the big images, i did size them down a bit, but they're still 600 pixels square >.<

As i think i've said. my dolls are all based on pathfinder characters. in our last game, Zig the satyr barbarian helped rescue Sophia the half-elf bard. this is just kinda an aftermath story. Also, beyond amused that zig, with the aid of a few sticks, actually held sophia up for a good 5-10 minutes :)

******

Hoofs sinking in the tall grass, Zig stubbornly strides on, hoping to find Rik in these woods quickly. She hears a soft groan behind her, cursing under her breath as she halts mid-stride to regain her balance. "Ohh, my head" mutters the elfling girl strung over her shoulder.
Image

Dizzy, aching, Sophia shakes her head, trying to focus her eyes in the blinding sunlight. Sunlight? Am I... outside? Blinking, she gazes at the grass below her, the jet-black hoofs digging up the earth as the grip around her waist tightens. Fear welling up in her throat, she begins to kick and scream. If I can only get free, maybe I can run, escape, at last!
Image

As a knee collides with her stomach, Zig curses aloud as she feels the girl slide from her shoulder. Sophia tries to run but her weakened legs giving out as they hit the earth. Catching her from falling back, Zig struggles against slaps to the head. Grabbing the frightened, fighting girl by the hair, she shouts "Hlýða!!" over her cries.

Sophia freezes, trembling in her arms, blood-red eyes widened in fright. Ashamed of having scared her, Zig lowers her voice. "Listen, elska, I dinna mean to scare ye. Ye are very hurt n' Teddy charged me t' take care of ye. I'm takin ye to a healer, that's all." At the sound of her dear friend's name, waves of relief flow through Sophia. She unsteadily gets to her feet, leaning against the strong barbarian for support.
Image

Tears rolling slowly down her cheeks, Sophia tries to speak in a cracking voice wracked with pain. "You mean... I am finally safe?" Feeling something twist inside her chest, Zig hugs Sophia close, letting her hide tears in the satyr's unruly mane. Zig whispers softly, swearing as much to herself as to the bard in her arms. "Aye elska, ye are safe. I promise."
Image

"Ah-hemm" Comes a small, chipper voice behind them, "I ah-hope I ain't interrupting anythin, but word on the vines is ya'll was lookin' for me?" Smirking, a miniscule and rather purple druid peeks from under her goggles, beyond entertained at the blush spreading over her cursing satyr friend.

and an omake, the whole group. yes Rik is tiny, but while she isn't quite to scale, she's still below the 5' range while zig and sophia are in the 6'+ range.
