Pose-ability or lack thereof, I'm not getting "Pony" vibes from them at all. Take away or mix up the colors and who is who? They all look the same! Their eyes! Couldn't Hasbro have at least attempted to keep the correct eye shapes for each pony? It probably would have helped a lot with keeping their identity. And I wish they'd attempted to somehow keep the horns for the unicorns, and make the Pegasus wings actually LOOK like Pegasus wings, not fairy wings.

I'm guessing they are more poseable than the ponies are (which have no joints if I recall correctly) so they could be considered a slight improvement LOL

You know what is totally killing me on these guys...the rat tails. Yep...look closely. They have rat tails instead of their pony tails. Classy.

Actually, aren't those rat tails part of their manes? So technically, they have no tails at all.

I can deal with the ponies being solid, they've always been like that, and little dolls like Polly Pocket can get away with molded clothes. If this is supposed to nip at the Monster Bratz market you have to step up. Even if the tails were on a belt that would have been more "pony".

Seriously a hood with ears and a yarn mane, a yarn tail around your waist and you're a pony.

This line isn't meant to nip at the Monster High dolls at all. Mattel owns Hasbro Toys, but yes they might have been intended as another way of nipping at the Bratz, Moxie, and Bratzillaz lines.

That being said it seems like Mattel is allowing this line to take a step back from their other lines quality. I might get one or two (depending on the size) to mod.

Actually Hasbro and Mattel are competitors, neither is owned by the other. Mattel tried to offer a merger in 1995/96 but Hasbro wouldn't have it. Antitrust and Department of Justice issues apparently.

I can't tell where Hasbro is trying to go with this line of dolls though. It's like hasbro still doesn't realize the market they actually hooked with MLP isn't the same as their targeted market. >.> I might end up picking up one, but I doubt it.

What I meant by the market is there's already an audience for dolls with unnatural skin tones. You can't beat the Monsters, have the Equestria Girls join them rough size wise, like they do with action figures. Even if these girls are shorter and look like younger school girls.

I was kind of excited for these but they look like McDonald toys to me. I hope they're better in person.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.
