So was I, I was starting to like the movie and their human looks. It wasn't bothering me as much as it did when I first heard of this but this? I really hope this is just going to be a prototype.

They're gonna be a pass for me. I'm just not loving the whole idea.

And here are the pictures of the final dolls to be sold (Anyone notice that Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy have jointed legs and arms? Hopefully, THEY'RE the final product and the rest will follow suit, too):

They look better here than in the original photos. I think they're kind of cute. I probably will snag one or two once they come out, but do hope they are all jointed.
Odd how some of them are pictured as having more stuff.

I'll probably give the movie a whirl but honestly I'm just going to get a MH Catrine and repaint her to be Rarity instead of buying that molded top... thing

I'm a little surprised I actually like Rainbow Dash and Rarity's face is kind of cute, but the others are not that great and Pinky Pie is just awful.

I keep looking at Rainbow Dash and I think I've figured out why I like her so much. Her outfit reminds me of Rainbow Brite.

I wonder if there are two types. The "basic" pony girls without joints and have molded tops, and the "Xtra speshul" (read: more expensive) that have jointed limbs, wear actual dresses, and come with extra outfits. I like Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. They're actually kind of cute, even if their faces are all just cookie-cutter expressions with no individuality. They still need to re-do the eyes to look like the proper pony eyes on each character. Fluttershy should look more timid, and RD needs to have more of a smirk (so does AJ, for that matter).

I flat refuse to spend my money on dolls that can only be partially redressed, so I hope there are two levels of dolls since the 2 jointed ones have actually clothing instead of those ... molded tops.
