Roho is BACK in the house!

Postby Kirahfaye » Tue Jun 18, 2013 6:07 am

He arrived so much sooner (and quicker) than expected and I couldn't be happier (unless he had arrived with his custom face-up already in place - LOL). So, without further ado, here is Roho Traideb, musician, pistoleer, Rebel spy and disowned son of a high ranking Imperial officer.

I think my postal carrier is amused - I know she had to hear me squee while closing my door after she handed the box to me.

Blue box is blue.

Body sponge! (I was very happy about all of the packing to protect the doll.)

Yes, he really is that self-assured.

I think those pants are going to need some washing and not just because they are black - they're really stiff!

Hello, dearest. Am I everything you dreamed of?

Roho is my first Iplehouse. I don't know if I'll have any more since I don't foresee the need for another "realistic" boy of any size in my future, but I don't think I could be happier with my choice. Owen is a more mature sculpt than the other JID boys which is why he fit my husband's original character so well. I got him in the model body with special real skin.

As for the body and jointing: the body is fantastic. The resin has a wonderful "toothiness" and is more solid and heavier than any other MSD I've held. He towers over my MNF boy (something Noble grumbles about). His joints are kind of "clicky" when I pose him, but he holds a pose wonderfully. I just have to get used to how to pose him with the mobility joint since it takes a bit of practice. His skin tone is fabulous. These photos do not do him justice. He has a deeper browner tan - deep enough that I'd be very hesitant to do any sanding or modding.

All in all, I would certainly recommend Iplehouse - at least their JIDs. Now I just have to send his head off for his custom face-up (with facial hair), get his wig and eyes and he'll be complete! Next project, my OC, Kirah!

Congrats on your boy! He looks great. ^_^ If my two male characters didn't need to be significantly taller than Naomi I would certainly go for the JID boys. All the Iplehouse dolls are so pretty.

I know what you mean, Qrinta, because my original character is supposed to be about 4' 11" while Roho is closer to 6' 4"! LOL. I knew I would not be able to get that kind of height difference with anything other than SD sizes and we just didn't want to go that route. As it is, I'll probably buy a Souldoll Asen on the NL body and eventually sell/trade to get a MNF active line for the head.

Handsome lad! I'm looking forward to seeing him with his faceup.

I'll be sending him out to Ban Sidhe for his face-up. She does fantastic facial hair (she's the one who did the "glue" scar for Noble).

He is a good looking chap - should look stunning when he's had his face-up

He's a handsome one. I can't wait to see what he looks like after his face up is done. It always seems to bring out the personality more on these dolls.

Odd that I *thought* I had posted a new photo of Roho in here yesterday ... Anyway, his wig came in and since I'm not sending his head out until Friday I tried it on him. It's not the red-red of my husband's OC, but Jeff likes it anyway.

Roho is an incurable ladies' man and would like to offer roses to his adoring public!

He looks great even without a face-up yet. Can't wait to see more of him.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.
