Thanks, what I call Mbili are both So In Style/SiS. I was matching them to the sculpt used on the Basics and some pics on FLickr that labeled other SiS as Mbili. Doesn't Nichelle have an open mouth? I have a Summer elsewhere, she's also called Carnival? I'll look on the back of the heads.

*All my brunettes say 2003 on the back of their heads, I went with Raquelle because of the dark hair.

Apparently, there are two sculpts called Nichelle. The Shani series' one (dated 1990) has a closed mouth.

Summer & Carnaval are both dated 2003. Carnaval has a wider face & smile and was used for Dancing Princess Courtney, before the Barbie Basics line when the sculpt was called the LeeAnn sculpt. By contrast, Dancing Princess Delia has a Summer sculpt.

The difference between Summer and Carnival/LeAnn sound easy enough to spot. I'll say my girls are all Summer then.

I have the SiS Grace and Chandra dolls that came with little sisters, the flute player and ballerina, both have the exact same face and Mbili is generally what they use for the girls. It's why I put off the Baby Phat ones because it wouldn't add anything new. My other AA dolls are the Spanish face, Artsy fashionista, and Dione from Clueless.
