Hello from Minnesota. c:

Postby Pomf » Thu Jul 18, 2013 1:23 pm

Well, I don't really know how to start off, I've been into dolls for a few years now, I got my first BJD three years ago from Illusion Spirit, it was the Adri/Ardi 1/6th but I recently gave that away to my friend for her birthday, and I have a Dal and three mini's that I'm planning on Obitsu-ing. Next month I am going to be purchasing Trisha from Doll In Mind, which will be my first big purchase with my own money, so if anyone wants to be friends with a newbie like me, I'd love to talk. I've been a little hesitant about joining a community because of the bad things I heard about some doll owners, but I'm sure there are always some nice people, so if anyone wants to chat, feel free to. Thanks. c:

Howdy from another Minnesotan! Do you plan on attending the monthly Minnesota meets at all?
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

I wasn't even aware that there were any for sure, actually! I tried looking but I couldn't really come up with anything, I want to go to a meet but I'm scared one of those things will happen where they split into groups and everyone knows who's who and I'll get criticized and I'll overreact or something silly like that, but I'd really like to go to one!

Evelien is so right. This site is the nicest. The staff are kind and helpful as are the fellow doll owners. Plus all dolls are acepted so there's not the hate and elitism seen in certain other doll communities.

This is the nicest forum you can find, and MN is a great place to be a doll collector! We are very friendly at the meets and everyone likes to welcome newcomers! The next meet is this Sunday, at the Roseville Library (alias the Ramsey County Library) from 12 - 5, Feel free to come by and meet everyone! Kiki-chan78 has set up a meet in Puerto Rico and we will be Skypeing!

I myself sadly will be missing this one, but I should be back in town by the time the August one rolls around. ::crosses fingers::
