If you could have a trivial wish granted...

The place for those OT discussions that you just HAVE to share in a doll themed forum.

I wish my 20-something son would just once do something I ask him to right away instead of waiting 15 minutes to 3 days before he gets around to it...if at all. Sigh. If I ask him more than once, I'm a nagging b***h.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I would like it to be a lovely and unusually cool Fall starting soon. Pointless wish. It will likely be 90 something here till October but I am so ready for cool weather. I'm sick of unending heat.

Nope. nope not her. Its a rather plain looking, spaghetti strap, long straight evening gown in solid shiny peach/pink. I'm not sure if its a fashion pack or a change o' rama gown doll like peaches or Rose du jour.

Granted my OC dolls would prefer Barbie to remain a distant memory and not step into this house again to open old battle scars   (well yeah Plushies vs Barbie wars, action figures came and help boot Barbie out  No dolls with rooted hair until an Obitsu showed up 20 years later :D )

Your owl sounds a lot like this one (other then the colors):

It's a Wonder Whims. I don't know of any yellow/orange owls, but they do have an eagle in those colors (best picture I could find):

not sure how large they actually are.

I'd want to find a book of short stories I read over and over again as a child. One of the stories had a mongoose as the "hero" and a beaded cobra as the villain, one was about a little girl who was bullied at school and I think was called "Sea Shells and Silver Balls" and one was called "Mrs. Samphire." I've never been able to find what the book was called or who wrote it.

The first story sounds like Riki-Tiki-Tavi, the other two are unfamiliar to me. And I could be wrong, just that's the only mongoose-vs-cobra story I know.

If the Mongoose one is Riki-Tiki-Tavi that could be the key. Just start looking for that as part of a collection of stories that would have been printed by a certain time. At least with my book I know it can't be any later than 85-86 because I saw it in elementary school, I doubt it was much earlier.

The story of Riki-Tiki-Tavi is part of The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. Not sure about the others.

I wish my new glasses fit perfectly to my head without needing more adjustment. -_- Glasses always seem to dig into my head on one side when I first get them but I can't tell until I've worn them for at least an hour.
