LOL!! :D That brightened my night up a little, thanks.

These are absolutely adorable. I'd love a set *adds to ridiculously long list*

DIM just came out with a vinyl BB sized doll, too! Eighty bucks for a fullset! http://www.dimdoll.com/shop/step1.php?number=336

Whimper! I want them!! They are adorable!! I can't wait to see pictures you take of them. (drat my empty wallet...)

I don't know what is going on with Customhouse, but they have certainly had some really significant issue. The last message I got from them, they said the dolls would ship "end of September". My Cebee did finally ship on September 10th, when they said. However, other people are getting "middle of October" for the shipping date for their vinyl dolls.
SO.. I guess they will arrive when they arrive. I'll post them as soon as they get here. The price is incredible- two fullsets for $128. They are officially "not allowed" on DoA, which I think is a little silly because they look exactly like the resin dolls (just a tinch smaller), and I don't know how they are going to police it unless people point out that they are vinyl.

All these new vinyl BJDs! I wish Emory would look into offering them. Well, I understand not being a dealer for CustomHouse - you can't rely on delivery. I did ask him about DIM before and he said he probably won't be ordering from them any more because they don't seem to sell for him. I wonder if he'd reconsider for the vinyl?!

Oh yeah! I didn't know the resin BJD companies had started doing this. I will have to examine them closely, what a good price for such cute dressed dolls.

Yeah, since the vinyl price is so reasonable, I also wonder if he would consider carrying the DIMs. Ditto your thoughts on the CH, though.

Now is the time to shop then, many of the stores I've been to are clearing out for the next batch of toys. And it's never to early or late for the true meaning of Xmas, what ever it means to your family.

What has finally out me off is the delivery time, other wise I'd be looking in to a pair too.

I like the DIM girl but her arms look really loooong (is it just me?). These are the first vinyl tiny/small/"yo-SD" sized dolls so far, correct? I'm happy some companies are finally trying to fill in the gaps! I'm kinda curious what DoA will do about these though in regards to its "rules" as they fit in every way but the material they're made of. I'm also wondering how DIM is doing the neck/eyes (I find it interesting CH has no body images posted + that both DIM and CH have a gap for the velcro on the head). I also noticed that CH added a neck piece on the inside.

The original Dollfie Dream heads are actually made of a heavier vinyl material then the rest of the body from what I can tell, and that's how the neck piece is supported. It feels much harder then the DDII.

The vinyl wars have begun in earnest. Between Volks and Obitsu in new conflict with Dollfie Dream Sister muscling in on what was once Obitsu's sole 50cm turf, and now Customhouse (for China!) and DIM (for Korea!) entering the fray, there is a good chance of a full-scale World War Vinyl heating up.

It makes perfect sense, though. Vinyl has a very definite look and feel to it. It's warm. It's skin-like. It has a look in photos like no other. I can't help it, I just love the look. And once BJD people just pick up a Dollfie Dream or an Obitsu, it's love. Such a substantial looking doll that weighs only about a kilogram. Those little Yo size dolls are going to be like little feathers.

Heh, maybe Volks should try doing little Tenshi Dreams sometime. It would give the DoA types conniptions but it would be awesome.

Honestly, I don't see the vinyl BJDs being much competition for companies like Obitsu or the dollfie dreams. You just won't get the same poseability with them as they are, essentially, just the exact same type of doll as a resin bjd, only made of vinyl. They are still held together with elastic inside so it's not like they are trying to innovate with internal skeletons. Now if someone else came out with those - THEN we'd talk real competition. True afficionados of the poseable vinyl dolls aren't likely to jump ship from obitsu or volks to buy into these as an alternative. Personally, although I like the lower pricing, the thought of dealing with even MORE heavily stainable dolls makes me cringe at the thought of buying one at this point. It would have to be instant luv to get me to do it I think.

Biff: thus far DoA has already ruled these types of vinyl bjd OT - the ruling was made on the customhouse ones when they were first announced. However, I believe they will need to seriously rethink their rule structure. Lack of flexibility for innovations in the hobby will only hurt them in the long run, not help them. In the words of Emerson, "A foolish consistancy is the hobgoblin of little minds."
