Heavy-set male dolls?

Postby ~TurkishDelight~ » Fri Sep 06, 2013 1:55 am

I'm looking for a 1/6 male body that is a bit on the heavier side, body-type wise. I don't know many types of dolls, so the only large 1/6 male I know is Volks Neo-Guy, but I'd like to see different bodies before I buy. Does anyone know of any big guys with good flexibility and pose-ability? It's ok if it's muscular, but a bigger waist or stomach is preferred. Pics comparing them to Neo-Guy or Neo-Goh would be cool, but I'd take any pics, info, or doll names. :)

I bought one of these Hot Toys - knock off and I'm really happy with him, is sturdy and heavy and the skin tone is really close to the standard Ken one, so you can put on him a Ken head if you want:

This is a comparison with Obitsu dolls, sorry for the lack of an head...

Fat wise I've only seen the Ignite Napoleon body but it's hard to find. Otherwise there's my site http://dolfielittles.com/encyclopedia.html Use the pull down menu in the upper left of the page to see flexibility of individual brands. If you need to see someone next to a Goh I can snap a couple of pics.

Thanks so much guys. DollyKim, if you wouldn't mind I'd love to see your Ignite Napoleon, Hot Toys guy, Ertl Fisherman, and GI Joe next to your Goh, if you can. Anyone that's fat or thick waisted. :) Pandor, that guy is awesomely fat. ^^ I wish they would make his limbs fat too. MitisFeles, thanks for the pics and info! ;)

I couldn't find the GI Joe but he's not that tubby. The Crazy Dummy guy is pretty thick and he might be a lot easier to find than Napoleon. Napoleon's probably the most expensive. I bought the only loose body I ever saw and that was years ago. I made the head on the Napoleon but all the others are factory. I threw in the Power Team Elite guy because they are easy to find. Hot Toys isn't fat as much as they're just big all over like a guy over six feet tall. The Ertl is kind of fragile, I broke the ankle removing the shoe, and he's never been used except to compare bods.

Thanks so much DollyKim for your pics and info. :D It's a little hard for me to judge body types in the Encyclopedia because my computer acts up and won't show your pics or squashes them, so thank you for helping choose the more tubby guys. It helps a lot to see them all compared, so thank you for taking the time to gather them all up and take all the pics. :)

Wow, I never realized how tall Neo Goh was by other 1/6. Is Neo Guy shorter than him too? I'm looking for a doll that's a little taller than Goh, or at least the same height. Crazy Dummy looks the thickest in the pics (besides Napoleon), so that's good, but Goh is taller, right? I guess I can put tall boots on him and add to his height, just never take them off, haha.

If anyone has any of these to compare to a Volks Neo Guy, that would be awesome. :) Thanks again DollyKim. Always helping us all out. ;)

The Crazy Dummy is taller than a Goh. The pics on my site are thumbnails that you click on to make bigger, it was the cleanest look I could get since I have to do my own coding. I'm exploring ways to make comparisons easier with the next major update.

Ah, It never occurred to me to click the pics to make them bigger. I'm so dumb! Your site really is awesome and helpful.

If Crazy Dummy is taller than Neo-Goh, that's really good. DollyKim, can you do me a big favor? Can you stand them both on a flat surface next to each other and take a pic? Or you can measure Crazy Dummy to his shoulder with a ruler so I can compare his shoulder height to my Neo-Goh's.

Hmm, another question about Crazy Dummy...I was looking on eBay, and I saw different figure guys that said they were Crazy Dummys. I'm wondering, do Crazy Dummys have different bodies, or are they all the same? :?:

I would guess the bodies are the same, my guy is the Reich Defender. RIght now real life is in the way of pictures but most guys are the same size or a bit taller than a Goh.
