Too true, too true, I was thinking ABS, though in hindsight, the hard skeleton could also be vinyl (like PVC piping), >.> stupid plastics. Who would've thought we needed chemistry degrees to talk about our dolliehs? :p
Don't worry Evelien. To me plastic is plastic and resin is something else
I have Vinyl and now that I've thought about it, I also have plastic. Definitely no resin. But while that matters to some, I buy my dolls because they are beautiful and have gorgeous hair. And because they 'grab' me. (If that makes sense). The hair is a big thing for me. If I see a doll with bad hair, as far as Im concerned, that is not a dollieh that is well taken care of.
I was interested to see that some people don't bond with their dolls. I've never had that, but I do have a friend who has experienced that. My dolliehs all have their own stories too. My youngest (not because I bought her last, but simply because that's what came to me), Aqua, was once a mermaid in Atlantica. She knows of King Triton and Ariel, but obviously has never met them. Apparently all mermaids get to choose, once they reach a certain age, if they want to stay in Atlantica or become 'human'. She chose to become 'human' when we met her one day out at sea...
And so they all have their own tales to tell....
Many say that adults shouldn't play with dolls... then let me be a child at heart forever more!
