Hi there ...

I'm not the greatest at introductions but I'll try my best :D

My name is Poet, but I often just go by Poe; I'm 24 and from VA,USA. I've been interested in BJDs since roughly 2007 or so [I think it was 07'] when on myspace [wow that's old] I saw someone's doll -- and I just admired it. And since then I've fallen in love with them. I currently do not own one, but soon :D I've been pretty much doing research for 2 years because I'm very much ocd [don't think this is the right world I'm looking for, forgive me] with some things & other times I just dive right in. But as seeing as this is an expensive hobby I didn't want to just dive right in [ like I would with my gaming or knitting]. So i felt like the more research I did would be better. I also felt like this has given me more time to really look at the dolls and see which one, for my first that I felt greatly attached too. If that makes sense ... if any of this make sense. I feel like I'm rambling, please forgive me :O

After all my looking at dolls -- I keep going back to the Doll Leaves Dora but it has been hard find owner pictures. I've found a few of faceups and 1 person on tumblr whom posts a Dora. I really just wanted to see more owner photos to get a better an idea besides the company photos.

Okay I'll stop rambling ...

Welcome to the Sanctuary! I spent a good while researching before getting my first BJD too. If you don't mind my asking, what kind of gaming do you do?

@oniakki -- I'm glad I don't sound too crazy for spending the amount of time researching :(

But as for gaming -- Computer or Console. As of lately .. I'm really into Animal Crossing New Leaf .. I know its not like MLG status, but I've been a fan of the series since the gamecube version -- so naturally I've been glued to it since I got my 3DS in June. Well thats a lie -- I've been plating GTAV this week. Among other games I play MMOs like WoW & Guild Wars 2, but both are unplayable atm due to neither wanting to update & patch. And the more mundane game of The Sims 3, which also fan since the begging.

Other favorites include the classic Zelda -- also love Final Fantasy but I haven't played it in a while because my sibling saved over all my hard work .. same with my Kingdom Hearts. Love the God of War series, GTA series, Skyrim is wonderful .. I could go on but I keep rambling.

I used to play more tabletop games like Magic the Gathering, but since one of my close family friend moved away a few years ago I haven't really gone back to it. sooo I have outdated decks :<

Hi and welcome on board!
I was an huge Magic the Gathering player, some years ago, but now I sold almost all my valued cards save for a deck... and in order to get dolls XD And I love the Sims too... but now I don't play anymore, It tends to take me entire days without me noticing ^_^'''
Wanting to see more of a BJD it's a good sign in my experience, if she stucks in your head and make you wanting to do more research is really difficult that you will not bind with her once at home ^_-

@ MitsiFeles: I might have to look into maybe selling my few decks or just some of the cards -- They've been in storage for about 3 years sadly :( I would get back into it but most of people people around here are hardcore about it but I'm more of just a casual player :X And as for sims ... slightly addicted to it but as of lately I really haven't been in the mood :(
I've pretty much given up on searching for more photos of her but I do know she is my Cricket. I'm excited to order her next month c:

@Maywong: Thank You :D

Welcome to the board

I played much video games prior to owning dolls, clearly that set the tone to what my dolls eventually look and dress like - (Street Fighter, KOF, Final Fantasy, etc)
