I have a couple of dolls that I would be hard pressed to get rid of ... they are both grail dolls, mind you. Other than that, I have no problem switching out dolls if they don't work for the character. I get attached more to the character than the doll representing it and it's important that that character and it's doll "fit" properly. I only have one doll that I bought because I loved that particular doll and didn't have a character role to fill.

I put a lot of emotional investment in making my dolls. I can literally count on the fingers of one hand the dolls I have given away, and every single one of them was made with the intention of giving them to a particular person...and I still miss them a little bit even though one of the people I gave two of the dolls to LIVES with me and I can see the dolls anytime I want. But they're not "mine", and I feel a little piece of myself was given away with them.

Gah, I'm a possessive bitch, am I not?
