I think I'm over Monster High. I didn't want to be. I wanted to have all of them. But with TRU jacking up the prices, it being so hard to find them, and then considering you're not getting that much for your $17...in my opinion. The Target here is slowly increasing the prices of the "After School" Liv Girls. They've gone from $13 to $14. I'd rather (and have) go ahead and buy the $19 set with extra wigs/clothes.
I'm waiting patiently for the Barbie Basics 2.0s and their accessory packs. But since they aren't scheduled to hit stores until January I've got some time ahead of me.

Don't give up hope on the Monster kids yet-TRU and Target often do some crazy sales closer to Christmas.

And yes, the new Barbie Basics look like they'll be a treat. Nice Barbie-and-Ken sized Jeans, and the Basic guys look gorgeous!

TBH I'm kinda over MH as well since, you know, it's not in Australia. I saw the novel though so...

Anywho, I saw the Twilight Victoria and Alice dolls and I can't believe how incredibly pretty Victoria is, cuz you know, she's a villain for EdwardxLego Brick's true love or something. And I'm surprised her head is somewhat smaller than other collector dolls. I wonder if she could get away with a Obitsu body D:

Barbie Basics, I'm just waiting for the red head goddess mold, the blond guy and *possibly* the steffie head... depends on how manageable that afro is.

Btw, Ken's 50th Anniversary is coming up... I sincerely hope they do repro sets like they did for Barbie's 50th...

Toys R Us charges $25 for their single Monster High. It's the general meh about them that's kept me from buying more, my website is a good excuse to get stuff in the first place but then I have to keep it somewhere. I would say buy now because once the demand goes up, or more soft news come out about how MH is the "hot doll" it will get worse. Remember the wind up hamster BS last year? Or some kid chokes on a hand and they're recalled?

The thing about Target sales is very true, I scored all the Juku stuff for 1/2 price, if not less, last year, it took going 3 different Targets but it worked out. I'd suggest teaming up and having someone at each one then calling each other to say who's found what because one store had most of everything, one had just a couple of things out their ears, the other just a handful of a few things.

Big Lots has Kari Mitchel stuff, dolls with mix and match outfit sets that fit the Volks and Obitsu as well as veterinary, complete with animal cages, and nursery sets. There's another brand of doll who is a teacher with a Kelly/tiny sized student and some other tiny girls that come with a desk and schooling odds and ends and a toy train with two cars to ride in.

Barbie outfit packs, like the cheerleader and roller skates have turned up. Power Team Elite are there same molds same outfits just changed around. Bratz stuff too. And knock off horses and fairy tale coaches.

I think there are so many "100 poses" and other articulated dolls lately because of the BJD popularity. Other companies see this and want a cut. Not that it's a bad idea; rope 'em in early!

Derp, forgot I saw some of the spare heads for the 100 Poses Barbies, different hair colors styles, and faces. The only drawback is the dark matches the dark but otherwise all the light girls are swapable. Start with a body in an outfit you like, buy her some spare heads like Princess Mombi!

And there's a free iPad app to play Fashionista with.

Am I terrible for just wanting the head stands to keep my more favourite floating heads on for a cool display?

Anywho, Moxie teens are showing up here FINALLY and I'm thinking of grabbing one for my Kenner Dusty Doll, I think the one with the cool jacket.

Barbie Fan Club Member here! I've got the skivvy. They're doing at least one repro I've seen so far of the original Ken in his swimsuit. He has flocked hair and also a regular suit suit. That's the only one I've seen so far in the sneak peaks. Well, except for the Happy Birthday Ken Barbie they're releasing.  You'd think after fifty years she'd at least be wearing lingerie or something but no dice.

Alas, I'm running with the theory that Ken is moreso like his peripheral audience *coughcough* rather than the perfect boyfriend..... (I can imagine him squealing over the dress rather than the girl)
