Name that doll

So a friend of mine had seen and saved a photo of a doll, ages ago, and doesn't know where it came from, who made it, nothing... so she was asking me what kind it possibly was.

The doll in question:



I believe it's 1/6 based on the rooting and the eye decaling... and based on face shape and such, I want to say it's a Volks Goh head with platinum blonde rooted hair, but I'm far from a 1/6 doll expert...

On the other hand, thats some uberly painted brows on such a tiny scale, unless thats also decaled. I looked on Volks' site... they don't have any decals even close to that, with exception of what seems to be alike on the "Whos that girl?" page, with the photos of the guys on the banner for the "SELFISH" clothing line.

So maybe it was a special limited ed goh? Or out of stock on those eye decals (I could see why... Rrewr~)?

Anyone know anything about this doll?

Yahoo Japan Auction Neo Goh 03 head. All I can say is those Japanese artists are FRIGGIN' awesome. And detailed. And I'll keep bitching about my face up skills until I reached their level.

That head was hand painted by some very talented artist. (most likely by a Japanese/Korean artist) No decals were used. As Kd_Bunchanumbers said this is a Volks Neo Goh #3 head.

I think I know this artist. He does a ton of stuff with Volks and sells a tremedious amount on ebay. Let me see if I can track him down.

Dang but he's gorgeous! If you didn't know it was vinyl, the detail in that face-up would make you think he was a SD resin head.

I don't remember when she saw the head, but it was over a year ago, I believe - so I'm not surprised that she's unable to find any traces of it, now. x.x
