Does anyone on DS actually collect Barbies?

Barbie, Jenny, Fashion Royalty, Obitsu and 1/6 resins - basically anything 10-12inch/21-27cm or in the neighborhood.

Most of my dolls are Barbies. I had the medieval/fantasy ones on display before moving:

Since the majority I played with as a child were Superstar mold I got tired of it as well. I didn't want to not use them at all though so I got them dresses and made them minor characters. They're sisters (because they look so much alike), and princesses, but not the 12 dancing princesses; they do have a 13th sister, a baby, not shown.

I'll try to take and post pictures of more of my Barbies later this week.

Your medieval / fantasy collection is lovely! I never set out to collect dolls, so have never focused on specific dolls. I see a doll that 'grabs' me and, if possible, she gets added to my growing 'family'. :)

I have some of the Superstar mold barbies and yes, they are also sisters (A 'foam n colour' Barbie -yellow & a 'moving groovin' Barbie). I also have a 'Barbie n Tanner' Barbie, but I bought her secondhand and tanner wasn't with her :( and a 'cali girl so excellent earings' barbie . I think they are also a superstar mold, but my first two I mentioned really look like sisters. The others not so much. That's why I'm not sure if they are the SS mold.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of your dolls. The 'sisters' are cute ;) Love the hairstyles!

The Teen Talk mold looks very close to the Superstar mold. It might be easiest to tell them apart by the dates on the back of their head.

You don't have to worry about catching up. They multiply all by themselves...! Image

That's most of my gals (and many of my guys), too!

The other tactic is to buy a new figure for its head, clothing & gear, and replace their body. I did that with every female character in Barbie's Butterfly Art series, many Kens and knockoff males, too.

Thank you, MelodyT!
Here are all of my Barbies (minus a few headless) and a few non-Barbies.
