Questions about Meet Ups

General discussions about dolls, new releases, doll reviews...you know, stuff that doesn't really fit in all the other categories but is strictly about dolls.

Yep, because one of these days you'll come to one of our meetings!

But we want Trethowan (and Ivan) at our meetups in Texas! :D

That would be SO very cool. I've enjoyed Texas every time I've visited, though it's been since 2000 since I've gone. So far I've seen bits of Houston, did the riverwalk of San Antonio, spent a weekend in Galveston, had a picnic in Brazosport, and sat in an airport in Dallas for a while. ha. I do remember the Alamo!

YES, I'll go on a Dollieh Sanctuary World Tour and visit everyone! hehehe

Sounds fun. Unlucky for me, I can't get out to meet others unless I walk.... :( But at least I have like-minded peeps on the forum. :)

If you don't mind me asking, how do you find out about doll meets in your area? Currently, I feel like a lone, dollieh island in a sea of people who don't know what BJDs are.

I feel like a lone dollieh island in a sea of wheat and corn. ^.^;; Though there isn't really enough population here (the 'town' I'm in has a total population of just over 100 people) to be more then a lone island if you interest isn't state college sports teams or farming.

I'm trying! It keeps turning the test materials inside out (which is rather messy). ^.~

For this board we have a section for conventions and meet ups and you're welcome to ask if anyone is near you, use a big city or general location for internet safety. If you're making plans to attend a convention see if anyone else is going.

I'm in the same state as a few people but down at the other end. There's people on another doll board who meet up but not in my county and when I did go to one I didn't quite connect with anyone and haven't been able to make it back out :/

Meetup.com also has doll based groups. If there isn't one in your area, you can probably start one and be the boss.

I've been to a couple of meetups in Mobile, but the group has fizzled of late. It was never that big to begin with. Sometimes it sucks living on the edge of the world.
