Obitsu SBH bust questions~

Postby Gabrielleh » Wed Feb 05, 2014 2:21 pm

Hello! I have a 23cm SBH large busted obitsu who, unfortunately, broke her hip (The inside joint holding the legs in shattered).
While I'm going to try and repair it eventually, I don't have the means to currently, and am planning on upgrading her to a new shiny 27cm SBH body for the time being.

My question is this- Will the 23cm SBH bust piece work with the 27cm trunk? I was thinking about getting the small busted 27cm SBH and use the busts interchangeably. I've compared pictures of them side by side online, and it looks like it would work. The hips on the 27cm look bigger, but I can't see that being a problem with the top portion of the trunk.
Has anyone tried this before?

I would love to know for sure before hand!
Thanks a bunch :)

The shoulders on the 23cm are almost a centimeter narrower than the 27cm body. It isn't the trunk, but the inner armature that will give you trouble. I have a 23cm boy and compared him to one of my 27cm females. The arms on a 23cm are also shorter. The pegs on the longer arms do not fit into the inner armature of the 27cm. The only hard bust I know at the 27cm size is the clear doll. However, if it is the hardness you are looking for, you can get replacement parts from Parabox. You can also just get the regular hard bodied doll from them. Junkyspot doesn't have the hard chest 27cm in stock, but I think they could order it. I hope this helps. The 23cm dolls are much smaller and more delicate than they appear in the pictures when side by side in hand.

Thanks for the input! Damn, I was hoping they would be about the same width in the shoulders.
I wasn't going to switch the arms or anything like that- Just the bust pieces. I got the 23cm second hand, and only realized she was large busted afterwards. I think she'd look nicer with a smaller bust (When I get her hip fixed up anyways!), while the larger bust I think would flatter the 27cm size better.
I like the soft bust, which is what I'm planning to order, although I had considered the hard busted body for a while, because vinyl and I aren't close friends. (Junkyspot does sell one btw! http://junkyspot.com/IMAGES/27DOLL/KF-031.jpg)

I guess I'll order the medium bust 27 SBH then. Happy compromise! Lol Thanks again!
