Maywong, I adore that reroot!!! O_O And a Jake is a ....teen moxie? A Liv doll? I'm so confused now. XD, but I rather like the articulation!!!!

Gift_in_Edge, I completely understand being picky about characters. I have a bunch of extra stuff I don't need because website pictures sometimes REALLY don't do justice to stuff like wig colours and whatnot and so I'm stuck with a bunch of random heads, wigs, articles of clothing that I thought would work but don't...that sort of thing, so I completely understand wanting to find the best possible match!! I hope you find exactly what you're looking for!! <3

Would a Ryan head work? Some have black hair already.

Any Ken head will work. I believe that's a Ryan head on that Jake's body in the pix. I posted.


MC- thank you. That is a LIV Jake doll. They no longer make LIV dolls. I think your thinking of the Moxie Teen doll that I used for another doll that I posted earlier. That body is a lot taller and they stop making that doll too.

Ahhh, it would figure they stop making the body types with the good articulation, right? Bahhhh. Are they still somewhat available, or are they really rare to get ahold of now? :/

You basically have to choose between good articulation and looks great nekked. The DML is pretty good and easy to find, it's also easy to find clothes for him. I use a Barrack Sergeant for Spider-Man but he keeps his suit on.

Are the Green Hornet and Kato sets being re-released, since Captain Action seems to be re-re-revived? The separate costume sets had a lot of the guys' neat little accessories. (They'll need repainting, but that's not a major thing for custom fodder....)

Gift_in_Edge, are you still planning on trying to customize a Kato (and a GH?), or have you sort of pushed that project to the backburner? The Enterbay Bruce-Lee-as-Kato doll looks INCREDIBLE if you're looking for a doll that's finished with all the bells and whistles, or is it more or a "I have all the the above and want to customize my own" type deal? I'm what I like to call a "grab bag customizer" because I would probably end up buying a couple of those sets above and mix-n-matching until I liked the result!!

EDIT: Apparently according to a few different websites the Medicom Kato and Green Hornet are 22cm tall each, which, provided you switch out a head with one you like, could give you that height difference you wanted between the dolls?

I've been keeping my eyes peeled. You'd think with all the WW2 figures there'd be more Japanese solders in the markets. With the official GH dolls I keep running into masks stuck to face thing. Oh well. Since I'm going for the radio age look I have a bit more freedom. GH didn't wear all green back then and I get to embody who I see when I listen to the shows. So some wiggle room there.

I might snap and post a picture of my current GH together with my 27cm obistu and Liv Jake.
