These are a few very special pictures to me...

On the same holiday to France in 2009 that was mentioned in the last post we have a 40th Anniversary U.S. combat soldier on Omaha Beach in Normandy.

What a great collection!

And it has just reminded me that the boards in, I think, primary school had the same fuzzy texture as Action Man's head! (this was in the 70s... )

I hope a mod wanders by and moves this to the 1\6 board. These aren't other toys!

You've got a great collection and an amazing tailor. Some of those knits are wonderfully in scale. And the details of the uniforms are excellent. You take good photos! Particularly the first few outside shots. That first one is just stunning.

Thanks for the kind comments about my guys and my photos :)

These pictures only scratch the surface of the collection as I must have a couple of hundred or more figures in total of which around 50 or so are finished and dressed. Sadly lots still languish in storage boxes waiting for refurbishment as I like to remove all traces of rust (if present) from the steel pins in their joints then give them a coat of clear varnish to prevent future issues.
I usually do this kind of work outside when the weather is better as the little fibres that result from use of the fibreglass pencil which is my main de-rusting tool get everywhere and are the very devil to find and remove if they get into your skin.
I wear disposable gloves and eye protection when doing this work and it is somewhat a labour of love but the end results of bringing little guys that have often seen plenty of action before being neglected in damp attics or garages for years back to good condition and the peace of mind knowing that fresh uniforms will not be spoilt with rust stains make it worth all the effort.

Oops! I wasn't quite sure if I should put the photos in 1/6th area or not but it goes without saying that am quite happy for the thread to be moved :)

Outstanding! I enjoyed your photos very much. How you got them to fit just right in their environment I'll never know.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

I'm a huge GI Joe fan so this sort of thing is definitely right up my alley! Really nice photography too.
