The older Disney dolls are smaller than the present ones.. Shang is the same size of a reg. Ken.

Ordered myself a Sulu. I can't wait for him to get here!

Keep us updated! I'd love to see side-by-side comparisons!! Do you plan to modify Sulu to look more Kato-ish? :)

Flip flops!!!

Just got Sulu in the mail. He'll need a different body. The one now is a little too buff.

Sulu fits in well with LR and Tonto.

So either try for another Kato or a new Britt. I'm going to have to put this project on the self for now and work on painting my barbie house.

Sorry to hear about Sulu not quote working out!!

Maywong, if you don't mind me asking, which version of Li Shang is that? And is he articulated? (I still get confused which Ken dolls have articulation and which don't. ) I really like the look of him. :D

I don't have a clue which version. :? I only bought the head. I then put the head on a EVO body, did a small face up and cut his hair. :) On the old Disney's body only his knees could bend but not his arms.

GIF- You are going to have a hard time finding a body to match Sulu's skintone.

Maywong....EVO body? I am so confused again!! ^^;; I really like Shang's look though, I can see why you gravitated towards him. :)

As for Gift_in_Edge, have you thought anymore about just buying a smaller articulated Ken? I know it was mentioned before that Sulu is kind of persona non grata for finding skin matches. Arrrghh, I hate seeing a project getting so many roadblocks, even when it's not my project!!

She might mean a Triad (company) EVO (model). EVO came out a few years ago along with female EVA as their base model bodies.

As for Kens there aren't any completely satisfactory ones when it comes to joints. The 1999 model looks nice but only has elbows and knees, the 2009 with the wrists that don't work well doesn't have a waist, the Harley Davidson style body doesn't have the best movement. He never got the 100 poses treatment like Barbie, especially the non caucasian ones.

DolyKim is right. I am referring to Traid EVO. They no longer make this body. With the Ken's bodies there were only a few with joints. The Harley D., Fashionista early models, and a old Disney body that had more joints than the Ken bodies.
