This thread is just like....joy. Pure joy. Everyone, I am adoring all your posts. There are so many of them, and everyone's taste is so varied and amazing!! Way to add a ton more stuff to my playlist guys.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otCpCn0l4Wo YOU CAN'T TOUCH THIS. Also, Min's avatar dances hilariously inappropriately to this tune!!

Stormlight Oh wow, Teaparty is gorgeous. It obviously has Kpop influences (Kpop and Jpop are both legendary for this sort of beautiful, abstract visual style of dress and setting, but I'd venture to say Kpop does it more often), and the whole thing is just...well, you said it best, visually stunning!

Love this thread really love it.

Woo! Professor Elemental and Mitch Benn - hah they're both among the comedy greats! (Adore the "diss song" Fighting Trousers Prof Elemental did for Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer! )

Mitch Benn's Be My Doctor Who Girl (sadly still hits close to the bone even though it was written before the show came back):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzXotzG-6Oo

Call Me During Doctor Who and I'll Kill You (LOVE THIS and 100% true):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0hW_UQASjY

...And sniffle yep the I'm Proud of the BBC song is even more topical of late what with even more budget cuts... I have a soft spot for BBC3 and it will be missed, even if I haven't watched that much on there of late it spawned The Mighty Boosh, Being Human, Casanova, Torchwood, Doctor Who Confidential, Gavin & Stacey, Mongrels and so much more sigh... And of course the wonderful BBC4 is at risk as is Aunty herself... ARGH!!! (WTF successive governments wtf once it's gone it's gone forever you utter utter idiots, and the hypocritical champagne socialists who resent Aunty Beeb but happily pay out thousands for Sky wtf ¬.¬)

(Tenously linked to Mitch Benn by the shared title of the "Pope Song") A bit Tim Minchin anyone?

Tim Minchin playing the Doctor Who theme, on a keytar and dressed as Prince Charles:

Right after the Doctor Who stuff it gets a bit more adult in content... (Generic Strong Language Warning! And Atheist Point of View Warning!)

If I Didn't Have You:

Confessions in Three Movements (Strong Language):

5 Poofs and 2 Pianos (context, chat show that had a permanent live band called 4 Poofs and a Piano. Gods I wish Jonathan Ross was still on the Beeb):

Thank You God (Long but necessary talky bit at the beginning of this video. Lol at "Love without evidence is ...stalking" and snigger at "fan of the apparatus with which romans used to torture to death..."):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZeWPScnolo

(Ahem mods feel free to remove this one if it's too much adult/secular humour here...) 10 Foot C*** and A Few Hundred Virgins:

Orbital - Doctor, Lookout!

Its not strictly a music video, more of a collection of Doctor Who clips and pics, but its doctor themed nonetheless.

First of all; I love your username- the Discworld books are some of the best that I have ever read, and Vetinari himself is magnificent, so I take my hat off to you, sir/ma'am/preferred pronoun of choice here.

Secondly, I utterly agree with what you're saying re: the budget cuts. And interestingly, although they're slashing the budget given to the Beeb, the TV License which goes a good bit of the way towards funding it is not being lowered. In fact, I think there's another rise due. Am not sure, didn't pay close attention to the latest Budget; I found myself too bogged down in the mud with all the rubbish that was being said.

Anyway! Music! Tim Minchin! He's great, y'know, even wrote the music for Matilda: the Musical. Here, have a couple of songs from that.

Matilda on Children in Need; features Naughty, Revolting Children, and When I Grow Up. I have such love for this music, I can't even. It's just... listen, you'll understand.

Also, have some from the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical. This clip features It Must Be Believed To Be Seen, Vidiots and Pure Imagination.

Discworld is a series of books by author Terry Pratchett, that are primarily a sort of ... fantasy satire. That really doesn't do the series justice though; it's just filled with the most amazing characters, and some of the most brilliant writing that personally I've ever read. There's been some television mini-series made from a few of the books; namely The Colour of Magic; The Hogfather, and Going Postal.

And here, have the little music video that they filmed for Going Postal: Return to Sender

I'm so glad everyone is loving this thread! My playlist is bloated with riches everyone! :D

Here's a particular favourite of mine. Raunchy lyrics? YES PLEASE.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tc1IphRx1pk Grace Jones- Pull Up To The Bumper (Hah, I just love all the naughtiness. "Pull up to my bumper baby, in your long black limousine. Pull up to my bumper baby, drive it in between...")
