He's looking great! The shiny can be seen as a sheen of sweat after working out. XD

Well, the website claims he can take a 23-24cm wig, but NONE of my SD wigs even go all the way around his head. I see it as an MSD wig is to an SD, an SD wig is to Jim (or close enough). The wig I WANT would be a short buzz-cut type thing, but the only ones I've seen like that are handmade by a gal in Russia, but she doesn't do commissions and she doesn't share trade secrets (which annoys me since she doesn't make money with her short-cut wigs). It would be best since the character always keeps his hair buzzed short. Oh Jim, why must you go against BJD standards? I bought a cheap furwig claiming to fit 24cm to see what it would look like if I took it down with a razor and styled it with watered down glue, but I'm quite certain it won't actually work.

If that doesn't work I'm going to see if my friend Cat can make a custom for me to style. If she does that, I think I can mimic the style done by said Russian gal, and create a "close enough" buzz cut for the Jimster.

If you got some of the same heavy duty mohair faux fur they use to make high-end teddy bears you couldprobably make an interesting buzz cut wig for him. It can get a kind of bristly affect to it. I know this because I have a damaged old Hermann bear and I need to get myself some of that exact kind of fur to fix him :) Not cheap, but then neither are wigs.

Check under bear fabric. Their fabric is wonderful and surely 2 of their 9 by 9 inch squares could make a wig for him.

Ooo, the medium pile upholstery velvet might make a really awesoe short cut wig!

I say go to Antique Lilac's website (sorry I can't link, I'm on my tablet and pasting works funky) she has a wig making tutorial for big doll heads from Iplehouse, and I'm sure you could use her method on Jim.

I did this with a very simple wig pattern and goat hide

I've got plenty of goat hide, I could send you a piece.

Or if you want some color other than blackish brown, this guy on etsy has hides of various colors for $20 apiece

The trick to getting the edges right is to run a woodburning tool over them until they curl under on their own.
