Makies!!

Postby Ruva » Wed Apr 02, 2014 5:16 am

I wonder how many Makies are on this site? I have one girl, and another girl on the way. The one at home already is named Sybil, check her out here:

The last three pics are of her face up. It turned out better then expected. Still very amateur but it's my first face up so I'm proud of it. Thank goodness for tutorials!

Now I'm waiting for my second Makie. Her name will be Amelia. Can't wait!! \(>_<)/

Sybil is cute! I didn't know they had elf ears.

Sybil's cute :)

There's 5 in this house - 3 are mine, 2 are the yeti's (who's not on this site). I've got a mix of the old and new bodies, but all mine have the classic face. They've taken over a shelving unit in our front room!

Starcat on here has one, Zach. I'm not sure if there's any others here off the top of my head.

Richilla - the ears are one of the things you can customise before you order - so they can have normal ears all the way to really pointy elf ears, and they can go from flat against the side of the head to sticking out. You can actually customise most of the face (eyes, ears, nose, cheeks, jaw, mouth, eyebrows). They wear wigs and you can change their eyes.

Oh, what an adorable doll!! They're like...make-you-own-Pullip almost! I had a lot of fun playing around with the online maker and while I don't have the money to buy one right now I would love to own one in the future. I love the level of customization that is afforded to you regarding face shape/jaw line/ etc.

Ruva, Sybil is so sweet! I for one love your faceup! I can't believe that's your very first faceup! :D Her tattoo in particular is gorgeous, I love how it flows with the lines of her face. <3

Yep I definitely love how much you can customize Makie a.

Haha thanks. I'm proud of her. The tutorial I used was great and I got the tattoo from a deviant art drawing. :-P

Hm so not a whole lot of Makies on here yet. No matter, I'll just keep spreading the Makie Love!!

I'd love to see pics of the other resident Makies :-)

Libby, Makie Dave and Hugo are the yeti's; the other three are mine :)

ETA: all are the classic faces. Indianna has the version two body, the rest all have v1. For now - the new body is a vast improvement in terms of looks and poseability. IMO anyway ;)

What lovely dolls! :) Their clothes are really cute, I especially like the dresses. Did you sew them yourself? Their little room is so cool!! Where did you find the furniture? Yes I can see a difference in the visible joints. I'm not sure what you mean by classic faces though. Did they used to have just one face version for each gender?
