I adore Tim Minchin - I've no idea how he does it but his lyrics are simultaneously disturbing and yet weirdly heartwarming

Vetinari--Hah, I'm just hunkering down and watching all of these. They're brilliant. The Rosa Parks one gave me shivers. It's hilarious, but it's also a really good commentary on how the smallest things are often the ones that change history.

...Okay, it is impossible to be serious with "Spartan High School Musical" playing in the background!!

Is it terrible that for about one second I was upset that "The Highwayman" wasn't set to Loreena Mckennit? Then he started vogueing with his gun and I forgot all about it.

werepuppy--I need to check out more CBBC stuff. It's weird what we do and don't get here. I can guarantee you this is the kind of stuff kids like to watch. Hell, teachers would probably have a lazy day and play these all class. I'm really surprised this wasn't imported considering a lot of it is considered world history.

I remember for a little while they imported a New Zealand/British show called The Tribe that I really enjoyed. I need to rewatch that.

Really glad I've made a HH convert! I think it's a show more people (especially adults who too often ignore kids stuff) should probably see - I know I managed to actually absorb some information, even if it was by osmosis! (Actually it's one of those shows that makes me go "kids these days, don't know how good they have it!" which )
