looking for 1/6 (27cm.) size Japanese middle-school uniform

hi all. i've been tearing myself apart for years now looking for a place to source a Japanese moddle-schoolers' type girl's uniform in 1/6-27cm.-11in. size in this exact style;




- i really need one to fit my 11in. Mikuru, but all i can ever seem to find
are 60cm. Dollfie size, -such as the one depicted there- and it drives me batty! if anyone around these parts
can help me here, them please oh please by all means do!!

I'm pretty sure that Azone made one almost exact to that, even color wise. If I were you I'd starting stalking eBay and Yahoo Japan to see if you can find one. I'm pretty sure it's retired.
You could also try contacting Azone and any dealers to see if they have one in stock or stuffed in storage somewhere.

I'm not sure how it'll fit your girl as Azone dolls tend to be a bit thicker than most 27cm dolls. But best of luck!

Takara also made a middle school uniform in Jenny size (that fits good the 27 cm Obitsu body), but now the eBay shop where I spotted it has only this one (I think it's for high school...)

Takara Jenny clothes should fit any small and medium bust Obitsus, compare prices between outfits and whole dolls with outfits and accessories, if you don't want the doll there are plenty of people who will. Just be careful of the darker fabrics which might stain softer doll parts.

well, looking at those available examples, -and the prices- kind of inspired me
to give making my own a College Try, especially after finding some materials
i'd squared away and happened to have somehow forgotten about.

here's what i came up with after 3/4 days of work;




also, i just unearthed this, my effort at much the same outfit, about 10 years ago now,
for my very first ever Anime doll, the old 2001 TOYNAMI "Tenchi Muyo" "Princess Ayeka Jurai"

kind of come full circle after a fashion, no?

Oh wow, you are amazing at sewing!! Mikuru looks adorable!! I would love to see more of your work. Also, I have a rather random question. Is Mikuru a hybrid? The knees look like an Obitsu but the head...not sure where she's from! ^_^

The one you made looks at least as good though, and that way you can get it exactly the way you want it too.
