True, they do have handy tutorials when i can get one that isn't blocked. And I do hate that one bad apple can spoil the bunch. I know DOA as a whole is nice, but it's the baddies I don't care for. I know there are nice people there. Ya just gotta look for them, lol.

There are a couple ways to make fangs.

Toothpicks are one way.

You can also create fangs with sculpy and glue them in place.

You can make fangs by building them up out of white glue! Use a toothpick to apply it, since you will be wanting to make a very "heavy" line with it. You can keep adding to the line/fang by applying more glue, letting it dry thoroughly, then adding more glue until you like the look you have. Then paint over the fang with white paint.

There is an air dry modeling compound called Craft Porcelain that would be perfect for fangs, claws, and small horns. It has a somewhat translucent property when hardened, especially in thinner parts.

It's a bit sticky so keep your fingers wet, maybe try a few test pieces to get used to working with it. I don't remember getting very fine details and I didn't get as far as trying things like fingers but it did work to make a "marble" bust.

When you say never use Krylon, you're referring to their usual line of paints and sprays, right? They have an artists' grade matte spray that I was told worked really well for dolls.

Thanks for the tips on fangs. I do have white Sculpey clay, and toothpicks.

i find wargames stuff works pretty good on dolls too, when it comes to sealer, unless it's soft vinyl parts like a MH head. anything resin works with it fine though.
if you have a Games Workshop or other geek places that sell warhammer and stuff, it's worth a look. anywhere you can get the "army painter" brand, that stuff is awesome, though the games workshop brand is fine. just caeful, since they have both matte and gloss finish.
as for acrylic paints, if you don't mind buying online reapermini.com has awesome paints. and because they are designed to paint minis, all their skintones actually some in 3 shades, for base, highlight and shadow. they also have thinners, and a brush-on sealer that works great on vinyl.
