My mom is reading the Anne of Green Gable series. We've started reading the Wizard of Oz series together.

I love the Wizard of Oz Books. We are collecting the hardback Library Binding copies. Are you reading them aloud? The language is so much fun.

Yup! We're reading it aloud and it's a blast. The artwork is great too. Here's the version we have: https://archive.org/details/wonderfulwizardo00baumiala
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

If you have an ereader, check out this website:

https://www.bookbub.com/
When you register they will send you a daily list of low cost ebooks-from free to $2.99. I have been getting 2 or more free books a day this way. It lets you register your favorite genres, so the list is tailored for your reading taste.

I second this!
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

Okay, what am I reading right now...

Book-wise, I just finished Ever After High: the Storybook of Legends, and I find myself most conflicted on the character of Apple White. I agree with many fans that the book does give her character more layers, and more sympathetic motivations, but I don't think it makes her all that likeable. I mean, personal opinion, but she's so dedicated to following the script, she refuses to think of what it means for others and - Okay, so, giving a detailed thing on the character here probably isn't the best bet. I apologise. I'm looking to read the novelisation of Labyrinth next, but only after I re-read The School for Good and Evil, since I'll have the next in that series soon.

Manga-wise, well, I've just finished another read through of Gokusen, which is probably one of my all time favourites, simply for Yankumi and Shin alone. I'm trying to choose whether to re-read Sailor Moon or Hellsing next, but I think the latter would make more sense, considering the next anime is due to start early July.

Comics - Rat Queens which I really cannot recommend enough to people! Seriously; it is amazing, and everyone should go and read it because, gah, so much awesomeness in those pages it's unbelievable. I've also been reading Kieron Gillen's Young Avengers in trade form, and have found that very enjoyable. Also: Bill &Ted's Excellent Adventures comic book. The art is cartoonish, but it works. It's a silly little comic, for a silly series of movies, that I just... love to pieces.

So... yeah, that's an abridged version of my reading list.

Currently re-reading The Trench by Steve Alten.

It has Megalodon in it. Yay sci-fi/horror novels with giant sharks!
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

I'm reading The Maid's Tale: A revealing memoir of life below stairs by Rose Plummer. It is not Downton Abbey! But very excellent for research and as a look at how a two-class society actually was.

I'm currently working on Bared Blade by Kelly McCullough. I'm thoroughly enjoying it, but what I really want to be reading is Robin Mckinley's new book, Shadows. Why does it take so long for the library to send it to my branch, why. :(
What's even more frustrating is that if they didn't keep it in the high school students only part of the Harold Washington I could have picked it up when I was down there last week. :?

Finally finished reading Dune. Discovering that the serie was ended by Frank Herbert's death and so it's incomplete leaved me really disappointed, but at least explained why the sixth book ending didn't seem an ending (I feared it was just me that wasn't getting something right).

I'm currently reading Sourcery, by Terry Pratchett, but the italian translation of the Discworld serie doesn't really satisfy me. Only one example: because we say in Italian "La Morte" (female), Death became a female and it's absurd, especially when he acts like a protective father for Ysabel. He returned male only in the Reaper Man book he fall in love with that old lady!!! So I'm considering if it's the case to read the next novels in English...

About manga, I'm currently reading One Piece, while waiting for my comic shop to get the next-to-last volume of Blade of the Immortal, the only one I still lack.
