Joshua's new wig!

Postby versora » Tue May 06, 2014 3:27 pm

My poor boy now has a wig!

Image

It's a chocolate brown brushed yarn wig. I made it myself. It took me roughly 2 weeks to make, and boy am I glad it's done. It looks kinda like a lion's mane. I think I made it too fluffy.... Sorry, still no face-up yet. Next Monday I'll be receiving my supplies. All I need now is the flat spray sealant and the gloss for the lips and eyes.

As for the bracelet as his necklace, that was a Christmas present from mu sister-in-law a few years back. It is a unique one of a kind blown glass bracelet. The amber/gold beads have a swirled rose in them. I also have the matching necklace.

Yarn: Caron Simply Soft 100% Acrylic yarn
Color: Chocolate
Uses 5mm crochet hook, H-8 US[Knitting?]

Your yarn wig is awesome! And Joshua is handsome, too. ^^

Wow that's pretty neat. At first I thought it was one of those mohair or faux fur wigs.

Thanks ^_^. I was surprised it turned out so well for my first try at this sort of thing. I just need to get some Velcro dots to help secure the wig.
