Currently reading MEG by Steve Alten. (It's the first book in the series, of which I read the 4th book first, have also read the second book, and am just now catching up on reading hte 1st & 3rd books. I read things out of order when I find an interesting-looking book that just happens to be the nth in a series...)
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

Woman's Trials by TS Arthur. I read the start of Taking In Boarders in an 1851 Godey's Lady's Book and wanted to know how it ends. People back then are a lot like people now.

Also geting started on The World's Greatest Books to introduce me to a few things I might not think of. Free books are free books.

I've recently read the Rio Bravo dell comic. Now I'm reading the Rio Bravo novel and Rio Bravo (BFI Film Classics) by Robin Wood. The novel and comic are fun. I like Wood's essay but don't agree with every thing.

I enjoy novelization of movies. They give a movie more depth and more fun to read then just the script. I recommend The Fugitive movie novel to anyone that loves the film.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

Recently? I've re-read both Rat Queens and Angela Carter's Book of Fairy Tales. There's a few books coming out over the new few months that I'm excited for - including the latest in the Skulduggery Pleasant line!

Also, I re-read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda in anticipation of seeing the musicals next month. Charlie, now especially, really just strikes me as a stand-in character, someone who we're meant to project on to. Course, that's possibly me reading too much into it, but I don't know. Ah well.

I'm now reading Old MacDonald's Counting Farm. It's a cute book made of fabric. It crinkles and has fun textures. I'm rather fond of the pleather tractor wheel and the squeaker in the mice den. <3 Given my grievous lack of sleep, its about all my brain can handle.

Charlie is a stand-in. It makes the story more approachable for the average reader. You identify with him, care about him, root for him, and want to finish the story to find out what happens.

Got as far as putting the Gormenghast books on my wish list. Reading the history of striptease, wanting to start Picnic At Hanging Rock again. A Taschen study of Beefcake is in the bathroom. Working from a crochet book.

I totally get reading several books at once.

I'm now reading The House of Hades by Rick Riordan. (4th in the Heroes of Olympus series. Interesting story, even if it isn't particularly well-written.)
