I honestly can't think of any songs I like that are in either of those categories (although plenty that other people are surprised I like or think I should be embarrassed by liking!)

Dorothy Trim Your Hinge, probably NSFW but no bad words. The naughty named singer has some great stuff.

How about love-hate relationships? lol There's this one song by ... I dunno, Demi Levato or one of those other Disney pop princesses. I don't even recall the title. The music video is bizarre, the lyrics are just ridiculous and make me cringe every time I hear it (which thankfully isn't often), but I LOVE the tune of the song. It would be a fantastic song if not for those trite, completely forgettable lyrics! It's very clearly a song for teens, and I'm pretty sure it was written BY a teen. Or at least by someone who does not actually possess the talent to write lyrics. lol

VirgoVertigo: Ah, the Moshimoss song your sister thinks sound like cryptic dolphin noises...is because it's ambient music, and he's definitely got some seagulls and beach sounds going on in there. Maybe that's why she's associating it with dolphins? "Longing" reminds me of some stuff by Enya actually. o.O

Although, I do have to laugh because a few of his tracks I listened to sounds like he literally left on an audio recorder as he did something like eating breakfast and washing the dishes, with all the random clinking/fidgeting noises going on there. XD;; It also makes me realize that my house would be a terrible place to capture soothing ambient noises---SEE ONE TRACK IS ON NOW I HEARD A DOOR CLOSING AND PAPERS RUSTLING---because you'd get "Ambient Dr. Phil On The TV With Explosive Violent Italian-American Cursing" and that would be my ambient single soundtrack. (For some reason it seems like Dr. Phil lives on our TV. I have no idea, I don't control the remote. XD)

Also--"The Bad Touch" is an awesome song! I agree that it's definitely one of those "Err...but it's catchy!" type ones though. XD

ShortNCuddlyAm: Bah! Super confident people like you are terrible! I'm sorry, I get embarrassed that I'm a grown-ass woman and a personal favourite track is Tony Lucca from "The Voice" singing Britney Spear's "Hit Me Baby (One More Time)" with enough conviction to beat Ms. Spears at her own game! My "Look at all the fucks I give" gene only extends so far!

Stormlight: Now I am so curious what song you mean!

MeltedCaramel Heh - I do get embarrassed sometimes telling people I don't like a particular song or most of the work one singer/group
The one Travis did is my favourite cover of Hit Me Baby (One More Time) - there's a bit of interview first, the song starts at 1:28 (the first one I found had the audio track badly out of sync)

I wish I could remember the title! I was watching some movie on Disney Channel or something and the music video came on, like right before the movie started? Basically the entire video was just these kids (teens) driving around in a convertible and I think it might've been Demi Levato behind the wheel and singing about ... er ... stuff teenagers apparently really like. Might've been some attempt at a love song, but the lyrics were so trite and cringe-worthy and utterly forgettable. Mmmmbop had better lyrics, for cripes sake! And I think at one point in the video they might've stopped at an ... outdoor basketball court? Or something?

lol I dunno, the entire thing was utterly forgettable, except for that really, really fun, catchy tune. I wish to heaven they'd used that tune on a much better song. lol

I ... actually can't... No, wait, I can. See, the band One Direction are really not what my typical tastes are - I'm more into my rock, metal, punk and so forth (though am developing a bit of a taste for psychobilly at the moment) - and yet ... I think a couple of their songs are alright. Mostly Best Song Ever and Live While We're Young. They've both got catchy beats, and as far as the lyrics go, are relatively decent.

... Still not really a fan of them though; but I don't begrudge them their fans. (Though when those fans are really rude, as with when fans of anything are really rude, I do face-palm a bit. Manners cost nothing, people, and it just makes things a little more pleasant to be at least civil to each other)

MeltedCaramel - It's mostly the title song actually: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyosPwwTl7s I swear I listened to this more then a THOUSAND times before actually seeing the movie. Then after seeing it...I lost count of how many times I listen to this song.

ShortNCuddlyAm- Yeah, I get kind of embarrassed when people give me that alternate "You do/don't like them!?!" Whenever I admit to liking/not liking a particular artist that for some reason is either super popular or widely shunned. Either that or people look at me and think I'm a few decades too young to be listening to 90% of the catalogue of music I keep.

Oh wow, Travis did an amazing job with that! Damn! He really turned that into...I don't even know what to call it but he turned a sugary pop song into something raw and needy. That is super fascinating!! :o

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTKh5gsJwpQ <--I think Tony Lucca just did an amazing job because he keeps the pop feel of the song but just rocks out with it. Also, in a definitely amusing bit of coincidence I found out that this song syncs up really hilariously with this gif:
Image (I SWEAR TO GOD MY FRIEND SHOWED IT TO ME SHE'S TRYING TO GET ME INTO THIS PAIRING. /DIESOFEMBARRASSMENT)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgG2MhxJDms <---Ivar Osterloo did a pretty good job too. :D Definitely more like Travis' version in tone.

Stormlight- I really wish I could help you find that song now, but all of Demi's stuff sounds the exact same to me so I'm lost. And now you just have me picturing the lyrics being like:
"I'm driving in my car, that my daddy bought me.
I like gum. I'm really loud. Watch me singing.
Here are my friends. They like gum too.
Driving in my car! Whoooo! Driving in my car!"

If MMMbop beats it for lyrical complexity that song is pretty much screwed!

werepuppy-One Direction fans kind of remind me of rabid anime fans. :| That's...not a good thing. Yeah, sometimes the fandom itself can make me embarrassed to say I like something! XD;; "I'm not associated with these people I swear!"

Alopecia No Hime-OH DAMN I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you heard Karl Wolfe's cover version? I love it as well. :) Maybe it's not to everyone's taste but I adore it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuYlaFjcrp0 <---(Ignore the stupid intro this apparently was ripped from the music video). It's intermixed with some rap/world music type bits. I rather like it. :D And his voice! I love it.

OH OH OH GUIZ, GUIZ, here's a really good one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGqZ4EZpmRg "Get Munk'd" from the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. I....I can honestly make no excuses for it. It's terrible, horrible, BAD. And I love it.
