Obitsu 47 clothing question

Postby Nelly19 » Fri Jun 13, 2014 8:19 pm

I just ordered a small bust 47 obitsu doll, she is on the way. This body has a more curvy torso then the 48 or 50 cm bodies, and can not fit the clothing of a 50cm. That being said, has anyone else ordered this body? What size clothing and brand should I look for to fit?

Hmm. I don't have one, but I think standard MSD clothing might work, though it'll probably be a little short. There's a few places that have clothing for "large MSDs," who tend to be taller than a standard, but thicker and more maturely-built like a slim. They'll say something about fitting Souldolls. You might also want to try JID girl clothes; they're pretty curvy, too.
Hope that helps!

My Obitsu/VMF 50s wear standard MSD clothing. Sleeves and pant legs are short so go for dresses with no/short sleeves (or extremely long sleeves). The only problem I've had is there were a couple pieces where I have to adjust the opening for putting on the dress (can't remember the term for that at the moment, the one you close again with snaps, buttons, or velcro), so the vmf's hips would fit through (the VMF appear to have a similar curvy hip structure to the 47s). Alternatively the option of separating the body at the bust/torso joint to dress them works to skip modifying the dress itself.

Personally I decided I'd just have to custom craft most of my girl's clothing.

edit: Though looking at the obitsu comparison picture some more, the thicker waist would make msd clothing not so good... might consider trying to take in some of the clothing for 1/3rd scale (like the Obitsu 60cm)... I have a couple pieces where I took them down for my 50s and they still look a bit over sized (which in the one case ended up being the perfect look), but with the thicker torso, you'd potentially only have to shorten sleeves and pantlegs...

Thanks guys,

I may just take hat advice and craft its own clothing. That might be a bit more simpler than guessing which brand will fit and size. She I currently still in japan, so I might get her at the end of the wee once she is in America and then shipped here to the Bahamas. I cant wait :)

I don't think so. The dolls used to model the clothing are 48-50cm obistu bodies.
